Challenge #40 - Use a recycled element on your project - and a DT Call!

Hi all,
Well, it's time once again for another challenge at Creative Inspirations.  I have to say I think the whole DT were blown away by the number of entries we had for the last challenge - well over 300!!  So thank you to all of our entrants and remember to pop over to the challenge blog to see if you were our lucky winner of the $15 voucher for Whimsy Stamps.
Before I get on to the new challenge I would just like to let you know that Creative Inspirations are having a DT call.  Sadly Merkkari and Mandy have decided to step down from the Design Team due to personal problems and family commitments respectively.  So sorry to see you both go girls, but I know we will keep in touch and I wish you both the best of everything in whatever you do in the future.
This is sad news but you know what they say - every cloud has a silver lining and this means that we need a couple of new DT members to replace our departing buddies.  So if you are interested in being a part of the Design Team hop over to the challenge blog and pop your name into Mr Linky at the top of the page so we can all come visit your blogs.
So..... information update complete and now onto the new challenge and this time we would like to see you use a recycled element on your project and remember to point out what the item is so we all know!
This fortnight we are lucky enough to have two sponsors.  Firstly we are sponsored by Fantastic Ribbons and the winner will receive 10 ribbons and our second sponsor is Meljen's Designs - who are giving the winner 4 digi's of their choice - if you haven't visited Meljen's line of stamps at Whimsy Stamps yet, you really should as there are some stunning digi images available at very reasonable prices.  The design team were all given some of Mel's super designs to work with.  My card is made using Skating Mouse and I used her to make a Christmas Card and here it is:
I coloured the image with my watercolour pencils and added glitter using my quickie glue pen to all the little lines and dots that Mel always adds to her images.
The recycled element on this card is the large silver ribbon which came off a gift box of perfume from my DH a few years ago! (Note to DH - now I've used this I could obviously do with another gift box of perfume so that I can re-use the ribbon!!!!) LOL!
I used a grey snowflake paper from a pack called Pretty Little Papers from Lizzie Anne Designs that I won in a candy ages ago and have hardly used.  I added a bright red brad to the centre of the ribbon (although it looks more orange on here!!) and a pre-printed sentiment beneath the bow to finish off.
I hope you like my card and please remember to have a look and see what the rest of the Design Team have to show you - I know you'll just love them all.  Links are in my sidebar to make it easy for you.
So off you go and recycle and most of all Have Fun!!
I am entering this card into the challenges at:
Meljen's Designs Challenges - Clean and Simple
Cute Card Thursday - Whateva!
Creative Craft Challenges - Animal Antics
Craft Your Days Away - Favourite things (I love using ribbons)
