Man Oh Man!! - OLL DT Card

Hello bloggy friends.  Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!
***************
So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
MAKE IT MANLY!!
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
This was a commission card for my mum to give to a nephew so was perfect for this challenge.
I have used images and DP from the Boys to Men CD which you can buy here.  The twine is from my stash and the ticket, which is off the CD is stamped with a Happy Birthday stamp from Clarity.
Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

In stitches - Totally Tilda Midway Reminder

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
STITCHING
REAL OR FAUX
********************
Here's the card I made for the midway reminder:
I used Tilda with her Umbrella and coloured her with my Copics.  I still need more practise with her skin I think - she looks a bit washed out - mind you that's probably the weather!! LOL
I added a stencil down the left hand side and added stitching to that and then...
added some cross stitching down the right hand side!

The flower is made up of several prima flowers that started their life white and I used the same Copics (and a couple of flexmarkers) to add the colour.
The other flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

This time the challenge is:
YELLOW PINK AND ORANGE
AND HERE IS THE FABULOUS PRIZE YOU COULD WIN:
spring bevs bag
(Contents May Vary)
**************
So here is my project for this challenge:
OMG!! A card with no stamping - just ribbon.
And what fabulous ribbon it is too.  These are part of the new Spring collection at Crafty Ribbons and they will be available very very soon, so keep an eye on the Website!!!
I used four pieces of ribbon in the apertures and criss crossed them to cover the hole.  Then I folded the green ribbon to make the stem and leaves for the flower and followed the tutorial on the Crafty Ribbons website for the flower.  Now it's not the best flower I'll grant you but I put this card together really quickly as I very nearly forgot to do it at all!!! Blonde or what??? LOL
Don't you just love these new ribbons, such fabulous bright colours, how could they not make you feel happy??
Please stop by the rest of the DT blogs and see their gorgeous creations, there are some stunners.

Softpencil Tuesday

Ooops, a little late today with my Softpencil post!!

Ladybug and flower which you can buy here
I cut the image out with my nestabilities.
The image is coloured with my Copics and I have added some seam binding from, of course, Crafty Ribbons.
The papers are from a pad called Botanicals (can't just remember which make, sorry).

flowers from Wild Orchid and a stamped sentiment which I think came from a very good Devon friend of mine (thanks sweetie!!)

A stitch in time at Totally Tilda

Hello bloggy friends.
I hope this Sunday finds you well and happy?
Well, as it is Sunday that means there is another new challenge over at the Totally Tilda challenge blog.
Firstly though, I would just like to say thank you for all your wonderful entries on the last challenge.
It always makes it hard to choose a winner/top 3 but that's part of the fun!
So what are we going to tempt you with this time??
Well the new challenge is:
STITCHING
REAL OR FAUX
Whether it's real or fake stitching we do actually need to see it for your creation to count.
It's no good saying you sewed your flower on or something similar, because we can't see it we won't believe it!! LOL  So get out your needles and thread or your sewing machine or your pen and add some stitching to your project and have a bit of fun.
*********************
So here is the card I made for the new challenge:

I decided to use two images on this card because that is the challenge over at Midweek Magnolias, and when I came across these two that I had stamped out I thought they were perfect.  I placed three pieces of lace across the bottom third of the card before placing the images on top.
Both images are coloured with Copics - yes that's right - Copics.
Now some of you will remember that I sold a load of Copic Markers a while back because I didn't like them!!! HUGE mistake.  Since I have used the Flexmarkers I can now see the attraction of the Copics - so I've replaced them!!  So, I'm still practising but I'm quite pleased with my first attempt.

The cupcake and the sentiment are from a set of Dovecraft Chipboards called Piece of Cake which my bestest friend Ali bought me for my birthday!! (MWAH!!)  I coloured them blue with Distress Inks to match the rest of the card.
Oh yes, I stitched all around the border of my card - by hand I'll have you know!!! with blue cotton to match the rest of the card.(Quite an achievement for me as I dislike sewing with a passion!!) LOL.  The little hearts are from my stash as are the two little blue roses.
So there you go my bloggy friends, my card for the Stitching challenge at Totally Tilda.
Challenges:
Papertake Weekly - A Stitch in Time
Marks Finest Papers - Stitching

So the new challenge is:
ANYTHING BUT A CARD!
For this challenge we are lucky to be sponsored by:

The randomly drawn winner will receive a $10 gift card for the Tiffany Doodles store.

****************
So here is my project for this challenge:
I decided to make a little note book for a Owl Mad friend for her birthday.
I know she doesn't look at my blog so I'm pretty safe in posting it early! (Fingers crossed)
I have used an image from the Owl and Branch set.

The owl image is coloured with Flexmarkers and I have used a brown chalk around the edge of the image.
The two chipboard covers are covered with some self adhesive papers from a DCWV paperstack.

I added a piece of cream lace down the right hand side and a couple of quotes which a very dear friend of mine sent me a while back.
I finished it off with a couple of prima flowers joined with a glittery brad.
The middle has lined paper in it - and before I give it to my friend I shall add several more pieces to make it a really nice substantial notebook.

Challenges:
Back later to add these.

Softpencil Tuesday

Hello everyone, Tuesday rushes in once more so it must mean time to showcase one of Elizabeth's fabulous digital images.

This week I have chosen to use Charmy - cute isn't she???

She is coloured with my Prismacolour pencils and cut out using my scalloped circles nestabilities.
The papers are from a Papermania pad called Venetian skies.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid except the Baby's Breath.
The gorgeous ribbon is, of course, from Crafty Ribbons.

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:

The Happy Birthday ribbon is, of course from Crafty Ribbons.

Black and White Christmas

Oh heavens, I am so late posting this little card.
This time on the Christmas Card club it was Margaret's turn to choose a theme.
She decided to go for Monochrome.
So I printed out my images and cut them all out, going to do a pyramage card I was, then I read the challenge again and she actually wanted the true meaning of monochrome i.e. Black and White!!!
DOH!!  So back to the drawing board it was and this was what I came up with.
The tree is a stamp I've had for ages.  Stamped on to white card, tied a ribbon at the top and then matted it onto black card then stuck that to my base card.
The Christmas Greeting stamp is from Clarity Stamp and it is one I use alot on my Christmas Cards because I think it looks so elegant!!
So there you have it, plain and simple monochrome Christmas card.

3 Shades of Green

Hi girls,
Well I think I may just be in time to enter this into the current Less Is More challenge.
I haven't entered there in quite a while now, what with DT work and working full time but I got a bit of spare time at the weekend and thought I'd give it a go.
The stamps I have used are from Clarity Stamps and I have used two shades of green but the Thank You and the corners on the middle bit are 1st and second generation inks so the green's are slightly different.  I also edged the middle piece of card with the same green I used to stamp the Thank You.
