A seasonal card

Hello lovelies.
Just popping in to show you my most recent make.
I made this card with the Clarity Challenge in mind which is:
Now I love Autumn - the colours are just so gorgeous so that is where I took my inspiration from.
So here is the card I made:
First off I taped the Leaf 1 stencil to the middle of my Clarity Gelli card and then stamped the Leaf set 1 spray in the aperture and then coloured it in with my Distress Markers.

Then I stamped the detailed Leaf from the same set in Forest Moss around the edge of the card and made some little masks so I could fill in the gaps between each leaf.

Then using the block leaf stamp I filled in the detailed leaf with Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon to get the autumnal colours.  Took me a while but so worth the effort.

Then I brushed Wild Honey in the middle with the little leaf "inny" bit over the spray.  Then I used the little round blending tool and went around the leaf stencil to give it some definition.

Then I used Peeled Paint from my Clarity Stamp blending mat all around the edges over the top of the leaves and out into the centre a little way.

Lastly I used the word Change from Word Chain 7 and stamped it in Wild Honey in the bottom corner.  Now I tried to do a shadow on the word but I was a bit far out so I filled in the gaps with a Distress marker and I think it is ok.........just!!
Now I have to say I would never had the confidence to have a go at something this involved unless I had been to the marvellous Clarity Workshops run by the fabulous Maria Simms in Shrewsbury.
So a big thank you to Maria for building my confidence.
So, there you have it, my entry for the current Clarity challenge.
See's ya later!

Stars and Snowflakes at TTPH

Hello again my lovelies.
Time for another challenge at Through the Purple Haze.
This time we are sponsored by the lovely
Mitzi at Aurora Wings
If you haven't already found Aurora Wings you really should stop by and take a look.
I bet you can't look without buying!! Lol
The winner will win some fabulous images from the Shop.
So we all had some fabulous images given to us to work with and here is the one I had

He is called Little Santa and you can find him here
So here is the card I made:
Coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils. Not totally happy with the colouring but hey ho.
I used some funky little laser cut snowflakes from my local craft shop and sprayed them with Spray and Sparkle - Pearl Diamond. For the fur trim I used my glue pen and then added some Glamour Dust. Again it doesn't really show up in the piccy but does look lovely IRL.
The sparkle doesn't really show up all that well on the piccy but they look lovely IRL.
The stars on the background are done through a Stencil from Splodgeaway using a gold ink pad.
So there you have it my friends, stars and snowflakes.
Can't wait to see all your lovely entries.

Delicious Doodles at TTPH

Hello lovelies.
Time for a new challenge at Through The Purple Haze.
Now I know I am on Team B but we have a couple of absentees for Team A this week so I said I would join in.
Our sponsor this week is the lovely Teri from Delicious Doodles.
It is so sad to hear that Teri will be closing her Doodle Doors in January 2015 due to changes in the VAT laws.  Greedy Government!!
Wishing you all the luck in the world Teri and hope to see you back some day.
The prize will be four images from Teri's store.
So I had a gorgeous image called Blossom to work with and here is what I made:
She is coloured with Copic markers and the Happy Birthday stamp is from Clarity Stamp.
The flowers and stamens are from Wild Orchid Crafts
I am particularly happy with her hair and that gorgeous butterfly.
The gem branch is from my stash

The gorgeous large purple butterfly is from Karla's Kreative Korner on Etsy. A really gorgeous shop with far far far too many lovely things to buy!!
Hope you get time to join in and be in with a chance of winning some of the last digital stamps from Delicious Doodles.

Christmas Past with Ribbon (Vintage)

Hello lovelies,
Well it is the turn of the Buttons Team to host the challenge this week.
And this week the theme is
CHRISTMAS PAST WITH RIBBON (VINTAGE)
So long as your creation fulfils the challenge you can make whatever you like, cards, layouts, altered items, take your pick and have fun.
So here is my offering for this week:
This stamp is from Crafty Individuals and I thought it fitted the brief perfectly.
What's more I didn't have to do any colouring so it was super quick too.
The little holly stamp is from Clarity Stamp and is part of a remountable Christmas set which you can find here.
To continue with my vintage theme I have used this gorgeous EXCLUSIVE Music Holly Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.
I added some lovely red flowers to the centre of the ribbon to finish off.

I am looking forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Some happy news - and a new challenge.

Hi all,
Well as the title of my post would suggest I have some very happy news to share with you all.
I have been asked by the lovely ladies at Through The Purple Haze challenges to join their design team.
I saw their DT call on Paper Playful and thought I would give it a shot.
I was delighted when Fiona emailed me to invite me to join them.
They are a lovely bunch of ladies and I am looking forward to being a part of their team.
So without further ado, let's get on with my first challenge post.
So the theme this week is
SHAPED CARDS
and our lovely sponsor is
STITCHY BEAR
And the prize is $10 to spend in digital images.
*****
So here is the image I was given to work with, isn't it fab?? It is called Bat woman.
So here is the project I made:
Obviously the challenge is to make a shaped card.  I didn't want to just do a plain shape I wanted to do something really different.  So I looked at the image and thought - someone like that would live in a castle with lots of dark passageways and dingy rooms.
The shape is cut out on my Silhouette Cameo and then I have coloured different parts of it with my Promarkers.  I cut the basic shape out in white and then cut the extra bits out in Kraft card. I am really pleased with how it turned out.
But wait, where's the image I hear you shout???
Well, obviously she is inside waiting for it to go dark!
I used some Distress Ink in Stormy Sky to brush the inside - after all a dark castle wouldn't have really white walls now would it? Lol
I coloured Bat woman with my Spectrum Noir Pencils and then fussy cut her and placed her inside the castle.  I used a circle of paper on top of the image to brush a halo of light around her head.
So I hope you like what I have made for you.

To celebrate my new DT place I decided to have a wee bit of Candy.
So please leave me a comment and I will choose a winner from all those who leave a comment to win this little bundle of goodies.

Thanks for stopping by.
