Wishing you a Happy Birthday.

Hello everyone
Well, did Santa bring you everything your heart desired?
I do hope so.
Well that's it isn't it?  All over for another year!
Soon goes rushing by doesn't it?
Aah well, I can now relax and look forward to the birth of my fourth grandchild in early February, if the little monkey decides to wait that long!! Eeeekkk.
It was a bit of a surprise, but once everyone was over the shock we are all now really excited and looking forward to the new arrival.
So, onto my card.
We had some lovely entries this month, okay so not as many but hey it's Christmas!! Lol.
I will leave you this year with my final card for 2019.
This beautiful image is, quite fittingly, called Happy Birthday and you can find her here.
I think she is just divine, don't you?
Again I have used my Copic markers on this image.

I wanted to keep the colouring simple on this and make the "cape" part look more like a sheer fabric which just flows across the main dress.  I am quite pleased with how it looks.

The backing paper is from a Lili of the Valley with Raspberry Road Designs paper pad called Beach Bliss.  I was so taken with this particular sheet I wanted to leave it as clean and simple as possible so just added a piece of fine lace across the middle.  The sentiment is made from Mini Word Chain stamps from Claritystamp because again I didn't want to overpower the image or the paper.

So there you go then.
I hope 2019 was a good year for you all and that 2020 will be even better.
Have a fabulous New Year whatever you are doing.
See you next year.

Northern Blessing for Christmas

Hello all
Here is my 3rd inspiration piece for this month's challenge over at the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook challenge. (Remember the themes are the same on the blog challenge too)
This gorgeous image is called Northern Blessing and you can find her here.
Coloured with Copic markers I went for blue shades this time.

The gorgeous backing paper is from a Lili of the Valley paper pad called Frosty Christmas.
The sentiment is done using some fabulous Clarity stamps.
Here is a little close up of the image.
Now I have noticed whilst writing this post that I forgot to add in the whites on her eyes.  Rest assured I will fix that before sending the card to anyone! Lol
I wanted to keep this quite simple so only added the three flowers and a small piece of lace under the image as I think the image is just too beautiful to detract from.
What do you think?  Are you a clean and simple crafter or a pile it on crafter?
I think it depends on what you are making really doesn't it?
I would love to hear your thoughts on that.  Leave me a comment and let me know what your views are on that subject.

Right, busy busy, must get on.
See you all very soon

Colour Crazy Challenge - Time for Contemplation

Hi all
Well, I hope you have everything all done and dusted ready for the Big Man's visit?
Mine is all done, has been for a while actually.
So, now I just need to sit back and enjoy all the fun and laughter of the day.
So, onto my project.
As you all know our challenges at Colour Crazy are always;
ANYTHING GOES
However, we are a Colouring Challenge and therefore we MUST see some handcolouring on your project.  We DO NOT accept digital entries, sorry.
So, our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous:
I am pretty sure you will all have heard of them by now but if not, firstly where on earth have you been? (LOL) and secondly, you really should pop over and have a look at what they have to offer.  From dies to papers, actual stamps to digi stamps, and stencils to CD Roms, they really do cater for everyone.  Don't take my word for it though, just pop over (click the name just above) and have a good old mooch.  You never know what you will find, there really is something for everyone.
So, onto my project.
I decided to make a wall hanging for my Craft Room this time.  Call it a little Christmas Present to myself.
I have used the fabulous Glass Half Full digital image here.

Using my Craft Artist Digital Programme, I put some Distressed Wood digital papers as my background.  Then I added some cute mushrooms from the Autumn 2015 bundle and finally made a couple of "vines" of leaves from the Horace and Boo Floral Foliage collection.  I also used a large mushroom image from the 2015 bundle to give her something to sit on.
She is coloured with my Polychromo Pencils.

Then I added the image to a canvas board.  I have added a piece of ribbon so that she will hang in my craft room to remind me that "Some Days Are For Contemplation"  That sentiment is from the Winnie Special Moments Quotes digital download pack.

I do hope you like my project, please leave me a comment before you leave, I really do appreciate them all.

So, I will just wish you all a very Happy Christmas (if you celebrate) and a Peaceful and Happy New Year.
See you on the flip side.

Spring Jasmine

Hi all
This is my second inspiration card for this month's challenge over at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook challenge.
For this card I have used the gorgeous Spring Jasmine image which you can find here.
Isn't she just the most adorable image ever?
Once again I have coloured with my copics and I am really pleased with how this turned out.  I wanted the shawl to look quite lightweight against her dress - do you think it works?
Obviously Jasmine is usually white which is why I have done white flowers.  I haven't just left them as uncoloured either, no sirreee!  There are four different colours on those flowers, three greys and a lemon.  I am quite pleased with them too.
The vine leaves are a John Next Door die called Ivy Corner.  They cut beautifully and I think they give a fabulous shape to set off those flowers which are from my ever depleting stash, really must go flower shopping!! Lol
The papers are from Lili of the Valley with Raspberry Road called Shabby Shack.  I really don't know what I am going to do when I have used all these papers as they don't produce them any more! Boohoo.
Anyhoo, I can't wait to see what fabulous entries you come up with for this month's challenge. Don't forget that you can also enter at the Ching Chou Kuik Blog challenge too as their themes are the same as the Facebook themes.
Right, must get on.
See you soon.

Through the Window - Digi Choosday Challenge

Hello everyone
Well, things are moving along quite quickly now aren't they?  Not long before the big man goes a visiting!  Hope you are all ready? Lol

I wanted to show you my latest creation today which is a bit different for me.  I feel like I have regressed to my childhood! hahaha

For my card this time I made a "Window frame" which I cut out of Kraft card and then painted with white gesso.  I suppose I could have just used white card really couldn't I? Lol

So I wanted people to think that they were in this room and were looking out at the sweet little Carol Singer outside with her pretty little reindeer and singing birds. The image is called Winnie Heavenly Angel, Musical Winter, isn't she just the cutest?

In order to make it look like an inside window I added a piece of "net curtain" and a "pelmet" (gosh I sound old now don't I??)  I used a wooden skewer for the pole and then folded the top of the net over and stitched along the width and then threaded it onto the pole.  I was going to leave it like that but it just didn't look finished so added the chunkier lace on top.

To add to the feeling of being inside I attached a line of little stockings to the window sill. These came from the Winnie Winterland Tags and Frames digital download I changed the colour of these in my Craft Artist programme to match the "wallpaper" 😀

I added a sentiment, again from the same Tags and Frames download, which I again changed the colour on and then finished off the front with some sparkly gems.

Then I coloured up the sweet little image and added it to the inside of the card.  I had to fiddle around with where it printed on my page so that when I trimmed the paper it fitted square on the inside.

The image is coloured with my polychromo pencils and the background is done with Pan Pastels.  I have added some sparkle to the fur on her hat and coat but it doesn't really show up very well on the pics.  Looks okay IRL though! Lol

So, there you go then.  What do you think?  Does it look like my granddaughter made it?? Lol (She is 2 by the way! 😂😂😂😂)

Now remember today is the start of the new challenge over at Digi Choosday which means not only do you have another two weeks to submit an entry for the challenge but you also get a MAHOOSIVE DISCOUNT on selected digital products over at the POLKADOODLES STORE.
Hop on over to the DIGI CHOOSDAY CHALLENGE BLOG and pick up your DISCOUNT CODE and have a mooch around the store.
You have to be quick though, it only lasts until midnight!

Right, I shall be off then.  Please let me know what you think of my project, I do love to read all your comments.

A Gift For You!

Hi all
Here is the first of my inspiation posts for the last challenge of the year over at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook group.
This month's challenge theme is:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY/HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Choice is yours.
I hae gone with Happy Birthday for this first card and have used the wonderful,
A Gift For You, hence the blog header! Lol

Coloured with my copics and used colours I wouldn't usually go for, mustard!  I love how it has turned out.

Now I don't know if you can see it (trust me you can't unsee it once you do, hahaha) but if you look at the wings can you see a bird's head and beak??  Every time I look at the image, it is all I can see now. Lol

The sentiment is a Claritystamp from one of their fabulous Wordchains and the flowers and lace are from my stash.

Hope you all get a chance to join in with the challenge this month.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
