The spiders web ribbon and the cat/bat ribbon are both available at Crafty Ribbons along with a fabulous array of other Halloween themed ribbons and ribbons to suit just about every occasion you can imagine!!

Seriously, if you have never been to Crafty Ribbons then you really should pay them a visit, apart from gorgeous ribbons you will also find a brilliant stock of beautiful buttons and on top of that there is the opportunity to win a prize every Friday with their Freebie Friday.  So watcha waiting for - get on over and get your order in - trust me - you won't be disappointed!!

So, onto the new challenge and this time the theme is:
BROWN PINK AND CREAM
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
This is a new stamp to me from Whiff of Joy, isn't she purty???
The image is coloured with prismacolour pencils and promarkers.
The flowers are all from my stash.  The lacy pink paper is cut from a full page but I just liked the lacy bit.
The fabby ribbon is, of course, from Crafty Ribbons.  And the sentiment is from Lynne at Sentiments 4 You
So there you have it.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out, especially the colouring.
Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  Have fun!

The theme this fortnight is:

So here's all you're getting:

Any ideas??
See you all next week with the finished article.
I do hope you get time to join in with this fortnight's challenge.
Have fun!

It's Candy Time!!

Now a few weeks ago I promised you some Candy didn't I?  I bet you thought I'd forgotten didn't you?
Well No, I didn't forget, I've just been so busy finishing off a commission job and some other DT work that I haven't had time to post it yet.
So, today is the day.
First things first - I broke through the 300 followers barrier.  Thanks to all those of you who follow me, I am truly blown away!
Now you will know that I have recently had the great pleasure of joining the Design Team at Crafty Ribbons.  Ooh I was so chuffed to be asked, I have always loved Crafty Ribbons, having first discovered them at the Hobbycrafts Show at the NEC.  Well from that point on I was hooked.
Now, the lovely Ali and Tony from Crafty Ribbons are such generous people that they have given each DT member a little bag of ribbons to give away as candy on their blogs.  Most of my fellow teamies have already done their Candy posts so this week I thought I would add the ribbon candy to the little candy I was already doing.
Now here is a piccy of the bag of ribbons:
I was going to empty it out and show you what was in there but then I thought, NO! Let's leave it as a surprise.  Let me tell you that you will not be disappointed! No siree!  All I will tell you is that it weighs an impressive 70g!
So, what else is in this little candy then:
Well, that's the piccy above and here is a list of what's there:
Two packs of Peel & Stick clear gems
A pack of self adhesive chipboard butterflies
A Pack of self adhesive chipboard flip flops
A pack of glittered hearts
A pack of Crystal Effects letters
A pack of Crystal stickers in mixed colours
A Sheena Douglas Rubber stamp (unmounted) called Busy Doing Nothing
A handful of mixed 6 x 6 papers
A selection of charms. (Not pictured)
A selection of buttons.(Not pictured)

So are there any rules with this candy?
Well there are only two things I would like you to do and that is to become a follower over at the Crafty Ribbons Challenge blog - that way you won't miss any of the fun,  and post a link for my candy on your blog, (sidebar is fine).  Obviously it would be nice if you were a follower but please don't become a follower just because I have candy and then leave straight after - I would rather you became a follower because you like what you see on my blog.
The candy will close at midnight (GMT) on 25th September.
So that's it, leave your name with Mr Linky and remember to come back on 26th September when I will announce the winner.

Ooh La La #89 - Use punches/dies

Hello bloggy friends.
Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
USE PUNCHES/DIES
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images and DP from the Shoes in Bloom CD which you can buy here
I have matted the image onto a Fancy Fleur De Lys rectangle nestabilitie using one of the backing papers from the same Summer Flowers folder on the Shoes in Bloom CD.
The flower is made from a Magnolia Doohickey and the sentiment is stamped onto a circle cut out with a 2" circle punch.
Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

Just kidding, I'm not really that big headed, honest.  So here you go then, my card for this challenge:
I used my nestabilities to cut out the two die cut shapes and then added the image with silicone to give a bit of depth.
The papers are from a gorgeous DCWV paper pad called Linen Closet, such beautiful colours, I adore this pad.
The sentiment is one of Lynne's from Crafts 4 You.
The flowers and gem stems are from my stash as is the lace.  The other floral embellishment is from a pad of embellishments which match the Linen Closet paper pad.

Crafty Ribbons - Challenge #2

Well what a fabulous response to our first challenge over at Crafty Ribbons!  Thank you all for sooo many beautiful entries.  Remember to stop by the challenge blog and have a look to see if you were our lucky winner or one of our top 3.  Remember, although our winner is picked by random org, the top 3 are chosen by the host of the challenge - so a different DT member picks the top 3 each time!!
So what is the theme for our challenge this time????
Well, I know this is always a favourite with just about everyone, this time the theme is......
ANYTHING GOES!!!
So that means you can go off creating to your hearts content safe in the knowledge that it will fit our challenge.
Here is what I decided on for this challenge:
The box is just a simple wooden box which I have sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Mist.  Then I added one of the fabulous new ribbons available at Crafty Ribbons, this is one of the New England ribbons, around the bottom of the box.
Next I took one small piece of a different New England Ribbon and just wrapped it around a small piece of card and adhered it to the lid of the box.
The thin green ribbon is available from Crafty Ribbons here.
The rosette type flower is made with two contrasting polka dot ribbons, again part of the New Christmas ribbons, also available from Crafty Ribbons here.  I followed the tutorial on the Hello Wednesday section on the Crafty Ribbons website and you can see that here.  The original tutorial was for a brooch but I adapted it and made it into a flower which I added to the lid with silicone glue.

I am really happy with how this has turned out and cannot recommend the tutorials on the Crafty Ribbons website highly enough.  There are lots of pics and fabulous instructions.
The prize for this challenge is this fabulous array of ribbons, aren't they just gorgeous??
Don't forget, every Friday on the Crafty Ribbons website there is a Friday Freebie.  Now this can range from ribbons, to buttons to a £20 voucher to spend in the store.  All you have to do is leave a comment on the Friday Freebie post and who knows your name could get picked out of the ribbon bag!!
Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team blogs and have a look at their fabulous creations - believe me there are some stunning projects for you to look through and I know you won't be disappointed. (Links are in the sidebar)
So off you go and start creating - I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Have fun!

Crafting when we can - Anything Goes

Flower Power time at Die Cut Dreams

Good morning my blogging friends.  Here we are at the start of another week so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams.  Thank you once again to all those who entered our last challenge.  Please remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were one of our lucky winners.
So, onto the new challenge and this time the theme is:
FLOWER POWER
(YOU MUST USE AT LEAST 5 FLOWERS)
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.  Now who needs an excuse to use flowers?????  I think we will be undated with entries for this challenge.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
Now this little stamp is called Cherry Pip and is from Sugar Nellie - ain't she just the cutest thing???  I was lucky enough to win this on Elaine's blog, thanks hun, I hope I have done her justice.  The papers are from a First Edition Papers pad called Up Up and Away, some glittered and some plain - and these were also part of the prize on Elaine's blog.  There was also a huge handful of blue ribbons but I didn't use these on this occasion.
Now that lush green ribbon is from...... yes you guessed it.... Crafty Ribbons and the flower I have made with it is featured on their blog along with an array of fabulous tutorials.  So if you are looking for something a bit different then why not pop over to the Crafty Ribbons website and have a look at all the other tutorials.
The image is coloured with my Prismacolour pencils and I'm really pleased with the way she turned out.  The other flowers, pins and raffia are from my stash.
So there you have it, my contribution for the Flower Power challenge.
Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  Have fun!
Challenges:
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Add a bow (raffia bow and one in her hair)
