Hello bloggy friends.
Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is hosted by ME!!
I chose the theme of:
WELCOME LITTLE ONE!!
(Now I wonder why I chose that??? LOL)

Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images and DP from the Everyday Occasions CD which you can buy here
Isn't this just the cutest little picture??
All the little embellishments are also from the CD.

Right down to the flowers and the bow.

Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

So here is my Midway creation for you:
So for my Midway Reminder I went with:
He ain't heavy... He's my brother by The Hollies (just love that record).
I masked Cuddly Siblings and a Magnolia background for this card and I think they work quite well together. What do you think?
Image is coloured with my copics and the sky is chalked using my Pan Pastels.
The papers are once again those beautiful Nitwits at Lili of the Valley and this pad is called Promises.
The fabulous spotty ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons - isn't it gorgeous?
All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the cute little pin.
I have used my Martha Stewart PATP on all the papers.
And the sentiment again is one of Lynne's from the now defunct Sentiments 4 You.
I'm not normally happy with my cards but am really chuffed with how this one turned out.
Please let me know what you think peeps.

Inspirational Song!!

Hello all.
Well it's Sunday again and that means it is time for the new challenge over at Totally Tilda.
Please remember to hop on over to the Totally Tilda challenge blog and have a look to see if you were one of our lucky winners/Top 3.
Remember our winners and top three are chosen by Susie and the Design Team.
No random.org here! So if you won it's because we loved your creation.

Right on to the new challenge.
The theme for this fortnight's challenge is:
INSPIRED BY A SONG!
(Not Happy Birthday 'cos that's way too easy! LOL)
So, when we say inspired by a song, we want to see the song title in your card.  We don't want a card based on a memory of a song or a song that meant something to you at some point - the card must reflect the song! Bet that is as clear as mud eh?
Well hopefully my card below will show more what I mean.

This time we are lucky to be sponsored by:
The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop
The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop are having a huge closing down sale!! Everything is reduced to rock bottom prices including all ribbon, twine, mulberry paper flowers, rubber stamps and embellishments.  Hurry stocks are selling out fast - you can browse the sale HERE
Just wanted to say thank you to The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop for their sponsorship over our challenges.  Sponsorship is always very gratefully received and makes challenges that little bit more fun to enter so without sponsors the blogging challenges would be a little less fun.
Thank you to all our sponsors large and small.
So here is my creation for this challenge:
And the song I chose for my inspiration??
Turning Japanese by The Vapors
Hope you get the gist of the challenge now.
Anyhoo, I used Japanese Tilda and coloured her with my Copics.
Here's a little close up of my colouring, the background is sponged using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
The flowers are all from my stash. I used my Martha Stewart PATP for the paper behind Tilda and also the lace effect on the "steps" of the card.
The gorgeous pin on the left there is from my lovely friend Mandy. Mandy sells these in her Etsy shop.  There is a link on her blog - you really should visit - they are beautiful.
The parasol and the branches above Tilda's head are Clarity Stamps and the ticket sentiment is one of the lovely Lynne's from Sentiments 4 You that I have in my digi stash.  Sadly no longer running. Boo!
The papers are from an Ooh La La CD called Fleur D'Imagination and you can see all the wonderful CD's here.
Challenges:

Baubles at CCC

Hi all,
Sunday again and that means time for another of our little challenges at the Christmas Card Club.
This time the challenge was set by Kerry and she chose:
BAUBLES
I have used just one Bauble and this is a collage bauble from Clarity Stamp.
So here you go then:
I stamped it once as a complete bauble in Versafine Vintage Sepia and then three more times and cut bits out to decoupage it.
I haven't added any colour just Glamour Dust to make it sparkle although I'm not sure you can quite see it here.
Side view for you so that you can hopefully see the decoupage a bit better.
The backing paper is from Nitwits at Lili of the Valley and the pad is called Krafty Christmas.
The ribbon is of course from Crafty Ribbons. I'm not sure they still do this exact one but they have soooo many to choose from you're bound to find something that you like.

So, onto our new challenge.
This time the challenge is hosted by Bonnie and is everyone's favourite:
ANYTHING GOES - WITH RIBBON
So you can make anything you like so long as your creation has ribbon on it somewhere.
And here is the prize on offer this time:
So here is my project for this challenge:
The basis of this card was in a free pack that came with my Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
It's all from Hunkydory Crafts and so pretty.
The only thing I added that wasn't included was the fabulous seam binding ribbon down the side which is of course, from Crafty Ribbons.
So this is going to be my Mother in Law's birthday card, I hope she likes it.

DT Call - Totally Tilda

Hello lovely peeps!
Oooh I have a week off work!! **Smiles**
Time to get all my DT work up to date and get a bit ahead of things if I can in readiness for the arrival of my first grandchild.  Only 17 days to go! *Excited squeals*
So, it has been a full twelve months since Susie had a DT call at Totally Tilda and the time has arrived to see if I can be lucky enough to be chosen for another term. (Fingers crossed)
So the theme for the DT Call was:
SUMMER
 YOUR INTERPRETATION!
Well, when I was a kid I can remember looking forward to the six weeks summer holidays because we always went to the seaside.  And, guess what - the sun always shone for our two weeks away.  Dad always used to tell us kids that he had ordered it especially for our holidays! LOL
So I had this card in mind - something a bit different.
Not sure I am entirely happy with it but I don't have time to make another now.
So here we go then:
I had the pattern for a 3D shadow box card to cut out on my Silhouette so that's what I went for.
The cutting it out was the easy bit! LOL
I have used Edwin on the first inside layer,
then a beach hut
then a little sailing boat in the background.
Tilda is sat on the harbour wall with a rope along the edge looking out across the beach and to the sea. (Well at least that is what it is supposed to look like!)
The gorgeous Sheer Puff Dot ribbon is of course, from Crafty Ribbons and the gorgeous little camera charm was in a pack I won from Susie, thank you darling!!
So there you have it, my entry for the DT call at Totally Tilda!

Buttons and Bling at OLL

Hello bloggy friends.
Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
BUTTONS AND BLING
Here is the card I made for this challenge:

I have used images and DP from the Femme Fatale CD which you can buy here.  I have cheated a bit here because I ran out of time and have done a digital card.  I have imported the image and papers from the CD into my Craft Artist Professional programme and added buttons/gems and ribbon from the programme and then added a 3D effect to make it look like decoupage.  Clever eh??

Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

Father Christmas dropping in at the Christmas Card Club

Hi all,
Just a quickie today.
It was Margaret's turn to choose the theme for the Christmas Card Club this time and she chose:
FATHER CHRISTMAS
Now I didn't think I was gonna have time to do this challenge but then thought, that's not really fair of me.
So, I cheated a little and used some ready made little cards from one of my Ooh La La CD's entitled Quick Makes for Christmas.
So here you go then:
And here is a close up of one of them.
Well, I figured you can never have enough tags can you??

Going Postal at Totally Tilda

************
Right on to the new challenge.
The theme for this fortnight's challenge is:
GOING POSTAL!
So here are a few guidelines for you:
you need to use at least one of the following or all if you wish....postage stamps, post marks or /and post card, you can represent them in anyway you want be it punched or cut shapes, stamped images or designs on your paper anything you like....as long as they are clearly visible to everyone.
This time we are lucky to be sponsored by:
And the fabby prize:
So here is my creation for this challenge:
I have had all these little postcards in my stash for ages and have never used them so thought this was the perfect challenge.
I stuck them all down to my base card and used them as my backing paper!
I used Tilda on the Loose for this card and coloured her with my Polychromo pencils.
I have also used the Postcard Franked stamp on here too.
The die cut frame and base is from my very good friend Susie!
All the flowers and twirly bit are from my stash.  The flowers were all purchased from Wild Orchid Crafts - and just in case you didn't know they have a sale on at the moment as they are moving premises.
This adorable little frame was sent to me by my Working Girl friend Mandy. Thanks hunni MWAH!!
I have added some Pan Pastels chalk to the frame to "age" it a little to fit in with the rest of the card.
The heart doily is from my stash and I have inked this with versamark Vintage Sepia.
The bow is cut on my Silhouette and that fabby little Postcard charm is from my good friend Susie. Thank you darling! MWAH!!
So there you go peeps, that is my Going Postal creation for you.
Right off to find some challenges it will fit.
