So here is my card for this challenge:
I found a tutorial for this whilst mooching around blogland and just had to give it a go!
Basically this is just circles punched out of patterned cardstock and then the sides are folded in to make a cone shape and then they are all stuck down in a flower shape.
Because my cardstock was white on one side I chose to ink the edges of the folds and then just sponge a little bit of ink into the middle of the flower. I added a red shiny brad into the centre but I guess you could use a button and add a bit of thread too if you wanted to.
Just to finish it off I added a piece of fabulous "Congratulations" ribbon available at Crafty Ribbons and some little red gem stones at the top of the card.
I'm really pleased with how it turned out and if anyone knows the blog where I saw this tutorial please let me know so that I can give credit to the right person. Thanks.
I love this card Dawn, such an effective technique.
