Lots of Hearts but no Words - Die Cut Dreams Challenge #82

Well these Mondays sure roll round quick don't they.  Remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog and see if you were our lucky winner or one of our top 3 won't you?
So onto the new challenge and this time we want to see lots of hearts (because it runs until just before Valentine's Day!) but you can't use any words.  It was a bit tricky not using words but I think you can get the sentiment from a card without words if the image is right.
So, I was recently lucky enough to win an image from the Whimsy Blog Hop and I chose a Meljen's image (because I just love Melissa's images) and here he is:
As soon as I saw this image I just knew I wanted to use it for this challenge.  I coloured him in using my Perfect Pearls - don't you just love the shimmer you get using them?
The blue papers (if you look closely you will see that it is meant to be water!) is from an adhesive paper pack as is the die cut frilled circle.  These are such lovely papers and much quicker than using tape or glue.  The ribbon, pearls and gems were all new purchases in the Hobbycraft sale and the flourish is a Marianne Design die cut which I bought recently from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
I have used the sketch at Papertake Weekly - love Dawny's sketches - and the flowers are from my stash.  I hope you like my Love Octopus and that it has inspired you to have a go at the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Creative Inspirations Challenge Entry

As I used to be on the DT for Creative Inspirations I felt compelled to join in with their challenge this time and also do the birthday blog hop - which was fun.  Some awesome creations well done everyone.
So the challenge is Celebrations and I chose birthday and here is my card:
Image is coloured with promarkers and Sakura Gelly Glaze Pens.  Papers are brand new DCWV and are actually sitcker papers but I have just used them like I always do.
The brads are new as is the litle pipe cleaner and the flowers, pin, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.
Got to get off quick and enter it before I run out of time.  See's ya later peeps.

Three of Something at Ooh La La

Well these weeks are rushing on by aren't they!  Wish it would hurry up and get a bit warmer though don't you?
So Monday again and that means time for another challenge at Ooh La La.  Thank you for so many wonderful entries into our Bling It On challenge - boy am I glad it wasn't me choosing the top 3 this time!  Remember to stop by the Ooh La La challenge blog and see who has been handpicked as our top 3.
So onto the next challenge which as the post title would suggest is asking you to use Three of Something.  Now obviously this is a wide ranging challenge, you could use three images, three flowers, three papers, three gems - whatever you like so long as there is three of SOMETHING on your creation it will count towards entry into our top 3.
So here is the card I made for this challenge:
You will see that not only have I used three images, I have also used three gems at the top right of the card.  All the papers and images are from the Shoes in Bloom CD which you can purchase here.  I have also added a piece of lace down the left hand side just to finish it off.

Please remember to let me know what you think and then stop by the rest of the Design Team blogs (links on the Design Team tab at the top of the page) and have a look at their wonderful inspiration.

Midway Reminder - Baby Baby at Totally Tilda

Just a quick reminder to let you know you still have about a week to enter the BABY BABY challenge at Totally Tilda.
Just to give you a bit more inspiration here is another card I made for this challenge:
I stamped the image with my Sepia Versafine Ink Pad onto one of those wonderful die cuts from the fabulous Susie at Die Cut Dreams and coloured the image with my promarkers.
I added glitter to the image because I think it adds a certain something to baby cards.  I stamped some little square boxes (which come as part of an alphabet set from Clarity Stamp) and added the letters to spell out the word baby (sorry Trisha but yours looked so lovely I had to pinch your idea - allbeit a little adapted).  I chalked the background of the squares with lemon pearlescent chalk so that they didn't look to stark.
The DP is from a Hot Off The Press paper pad called, surprisingly enough "Baby" - couldn't resist those little hands.  I backed the paper onto lemon card and then placed the die cut on top of my arranged pieces.  I added a flower spray and a lemon bow to finish off.
Hope you find the time to enter the challenge folks.  TTFN

Bugaboo mini challenge #5

So finally the last mini challenge at Catch the Bug as part of the Bugaboo Birthday Celebrations!  Mini challenge #5 is an Anything Goes challenge and so I decided to use a card I have made for a friend's birthday.  Now there is only one photograph of this card as I needed to get this card over to my friend PDQ!  So here is my final entry for the week's mini challenges:
This friend has terrible trouble getting up in a morning and getting to work on time so I just couldn't resist using this image - perfection!!
Again coloured with promarkers and the die cuts are from Die Cut Dreams (heavens, what would I do with you Susie!!)
So I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Bugaboo creations.  They are just such easy images to work with and there is just about something for every possible occasion you could think of.
I hope you have had time to join in this week - I've had a great time.  Mind you the house looks a bit the worse for it!! LOL  Hey ho! Such is life.

Bugaboo mini challenge #4

So, onto Thursday and mini challenge #4 at Catch the Bug as part of the Birthday celebrations at Bugaboo.  This time the theme is birthdays.  I have tried to make each project a different colour base this week - now green is not one of my favourite colours but I quite like this one.
Again image is coloured with promarkers, papers are from my stash.  Ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, pin from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and flowers are from my stash.
The die cuts are again from Die Cut Dreams and background stamped with a streamers stamp from my stash.
Back soon with my final mini challenge entry.

Bugaboo Mini Challenge #3

So day 3 of the mini challenges at Catch the Bug as part of the Bugaboo birthday celebrations!
Today the challenge was to use the sketch provided - shown below:
So here is the card I made using this sketch:
I have used one of the freebie images from the Sun Bonnet range - cute ain't it? I cut out the image and added it to one of Susie's fabby die cuts available from Die Cut Dreams which I had background stamped with one of my tapestry stamps.  I added glittery embroidery thread to the cotton reel and the needle and the buttons and fibres were part of a birthday gift from my best crafting buddy Ali (aka Dragonlady) thanks hun!  Flowers and pins were from my stash and the papers are from a Papermania paper stack called Heather.  The sentiment is a Clarity Stamp and the lace is newly purchased from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
Off to do #4!!

Bugaboo Mini Challenge #2

Back again with my card for Mini Challenge #2 as part of the Birthday celebrations at Bugaboo.  All the mini challenges can be found at the Catch the Bug Challenge.
Tuesday's challenge was to use the freebie image and add some bling.  As luck would have it I received some bling from my good friend Susie for my birthday (thanks hun) and so I took my colour inspiration from them.  Here is the card I made for challenge #2:
Again coloured with promarkers, papers are from a Paper Cellar paper pack called Celebrations (how apt!!)  The die cut is once again from that fabulous Susie Sugar at Die Cut Dreams.  Flowers are from my stash and the pins are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.  For a bit of extra bling I added Crystal Stickles to his outfit and the flowers.
Back soon with #3!

Bugaboo - Mini Challenge #1

As part of the Bugaboo Birthday Celebrations there are five mini challenges this week, a different one on each day.  So as I love their images I thought I'd give it a go.  So here is the first of my mini challenge cards, Monday was Blue and White:
I love this Stella image - just perfect for soooo many of my friends!! LOL
Coloured with Promarkers, roses and ribbons are from my stash, the pins are recently purchased from Bunny Zoe's Crafts (thanks Nikki) and the papers are from a Hot Off The Press paperpack called Sapphire.
Off to post  the others now.

Bugaboo Birthday Challenge

Hi all, have you done the Bugaboo Birthday Blog Hop yet??  There are some fabulous projects by the DT and there are some awesome prizes up for grabs if you have the time to enter their main challenge and their five mini challenges!
Anyway here is my card for the main challenge at Bugaboo which is - as you might expect - Birthdays!
This card was made for a work colleague for her husband's birthday.  Apparently his clothes can be a bit garish sometimes so she wanted a funny card which related to him wearing whatever he wanted.  I think it fits the bill don't you??
Anyway, I'm off now to make the other cards for the mini challenges.
See you all soon

Use a digi image and a rubber stamp together - DCD DT card

Monday again and that means time for another challenge at Die Cut Dreams.  Thank you to all those who entered our last challenge of using a Quote on your work.  We have seen some lovely quotes, so many different ones.  Please stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were our lucky winner or one of our top 3.
So onto our new challenge and this time we want to see you use a Digi Image and a Rubber Stamped image together.  We are lucky enough to be sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish .....

.....and the DT were all given the opportunity to use one of Robyn's Fetish digital images.  The DT have worked wonders this week so please take a few minutes to stop by and see their fabulous creations. (Links on the Design Team tab at the top of the page).
So without further ado here is the card I made for this challenge:
I decided to make an easel card and completely separate the two images although I did try and tie them together as they both have daisies on them.  I used an Anya image from the Anya Love set from the Greeting Farm and coloured her in with my Promarkers.  I then cut her out and adhered her to the card with silicone to make her stand proud a little.
The Robyn's Fetish image is also coloured with promarkers and the edge of the white card is chalked with pale lemon pearlescent chalk.
The daisy flowers were from my stash and were completely white so I coloured them to match those on the two images and pushed them through the middle v of the easel card.
The sentiment is one I found on the internet and I thought it was just so lovely I had to use it.  I typed it out on the computer and printed it out.  The background of the easel card is stamped with tapestry stamps just to finish it off.
I hope you like my card and that you will join in with our challenge this fortnight.  Have fun everyone.

Baby Baby - Totally Tilda DT card

Another Sunday rolls around and that means time for another challenge at Totally Tilda.  Thank you to everyone who entered our Ribbon and Roses challenge, there were some beautiful entries.  To find out if you were the lucky winner or one of our top 3 stop by the Totally Tilda challenge blog.
So onto the new challenge and this time the challenge is called BABY BABY!  Remember you must include Tilda on your entry to qualify for our prize.
So without further ado here is my card for this challenge:
I wouldn't have been able to complete this challenge if it hadn't been for my good friend and team mate Lynne who sent me some of these adorable images - thanks Lynne - you're an angel!
I coloured the image with my promarkers and placed her on one of those wonderful die cuts from Die Cut Dreams - what would I do without you Susie??? LOL  I chalked around the edge of the white die cut with lemon pearlescent chalk.  I used some paper from a Hot off the Press paper pad called, appropriately enough BABY!  I just couldn't resist those little hand prints.  I recently won the Inky Impressions blog hop and the lace was part of that prize (thanks Nicole).
I stamped some little squares (comes as part of an alphabet set from Clarity Stamps) and added the word Baby down the side and then added the flowers and the gems.  I love this little image and now that I have one of my own (yep, had to go an order one!!) I will definitely be using her again.
Remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team blogs (links on the DT tab at the top of the page) as they too have some gorgeous inspiration to show you.

New Venture for me!

Hi all,
well I have had this Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 sitting in my craft room for ages now and haven't got around to using it until now!  Best buddy Ali has just been invited to be a part of the Design Team at Lasting Memories Layouts so I thought I would submit an entry to show my support for her new DT position.
I used a photo that I already had in my files on the computer and had a play around with the Digital Scrapbook Artist and this is what I came up with.

It is only very simple as I'm still not really sure where everything is and what it all means but I guess that will come with time.  These are my two cats, Smudge (the tricolour) and Breezer (the tabby).  This photo was taken when we had our GSD. They were both a bit scared of him and so chose to be together on the back of the chair quite a bit!!

I shall, as I said enter this into the challenge at Lasting Memories which is "To show your style".  I'm not sure I know what my style is yet but I quite like how this turned out (well for a first attempt anyway).  I don't suppose it is up to the same standard as the rest of the Design Team or all you wonderful Scrappers out there but at least it's a start!
