Creative Inspirations Challenge Entry

As I used to be on the DT for Creative Inspirations I felt compelled to join in with their challenge this time and also do the birthday blog hop - which was fun.  Some awesome creations well done everyone.
So the challenge is Celebrations and I chose birthday and here is my card:

Image is coloured with promarkers and Sakura Gelly Glaze Pens.  Papers are brand new DCWV and are actually sitcker papers but I have just used them like I always do. 

The brads are new as is the litle pipe cleaner and the flowers, pin, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

Challenge #34 - Creative Inspirations

Hello all,
Well, another fortnight has passed us by and I can't believe we are in the middle of May already!!  Soon be Christmas!!!

So on to this fortnight's challenge which is to use punches and dies on your creation.
Whatever else you want to do is entirely up to you so long as you use punches and dies on your creation.

So the DT were all lucky enough to choose one of Stitchy's images to work with for this challenge and I chose Short Shorts which you can purchase from Stitchy at the fabulous price of $1.50 as it is currently in the sale at 50% off - so I'd go take a look at the shop as there are soooo many more bargains like this one, you won't be disappointed!
Here is the card I made for this challenge:

I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash (number 35) which I have shown below:

Using my Lighthouse Memories die cutter I cut out my digi image in an oval shape and also cut a larger oval for the background.  I used a Polka Dot background paper which I had in my stash - lord alone knows where it came from I've had it soooo long!!  Then I added a DP from Pink Paislee (fabby papers these).  The pink flowery paper is from a Daisy and Dandelion pad called Picnic Patch and the gorgeous pink ribbon is one I received from Nicole at Inky Impressions with my Charm order - thanks Nicole!

The image was coloured using my promarkers and Sakura Gelly Glaze pens - and no - she didn't wet her knickers - the flash just makes it look that way!!! Sorry!  I added a pre-stamped die cut sentiment and went round the edge of the image with a pink chalk ink pad.  I added some shocking pink flat backed gems and made up a flower from my stash.  The edge of the image is also softened using pink pearlescent chalk and sealed with hairspray.

Creative Inspirations DT card - challenge 27!

So my friends, have you been having a good year so far - isn't it going quickly?  Must be getting old eh????
Anyway, time once again for another challenge over at Creative Inspirations.  This fortnight's theme is to make a Thank You card.  I'm sure we've all needed alot of these recently what with Christmas not far behind us so I think this is a perfect challenge for this time of year.
So, here is the card I made for this challenge:

I have used an image from Lil Diva at Digital Ink Co and you can see more of her creations by visiting the Digital Ink Co store.  I have coloured her in using three different shades of blue pencil and used Marvy Markers (thanks Jude!) to highlight the edges and the feathering on the body of her dress.  I used a red Sakura Gelly Glaze pen for the flower centre in her hair. 

The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons (their service is amazing and the choice is outstanding!) 

The flower is made up from my stash and candy wins.  The gems are also from my stash.  The Thank You stamp is a Clarity Stamp which I stamped using an Impress Ink pad in Cerulean Blue.

I will also be entering this card into the challenge at ABC which is O for One paper.  (This paper is a Stampin Up paper and is double sided but it is still one piece of paper so I hope it counts.)

Creative Inspirations DT Card

Hello all.
This week is my first week as a Guest Designer for Creative Inspirations.  This week's challenge is based on the sketch as shown below:

When I first saw this sketch - I thought yikes!  But I read a blog somewhere that said treat each sketch one piece at a time - so that's exactly what I did.  I chose all my DP first and then placed them onto a blank piece of paper to see how it all looked and then set to work on my image.  I chose an image called Carousel by M&M Designz and you can find this image, along with many other fabulous images, over at the Digital-Ink Co store and click on the Creators tab at the top of the page.

The base paper is some purple sparkly paper from my stash and the gingham paper is from a Funky Fairy Kit that I won in the Fab n Funky Challenges - although sadly Shaz decided to close the doors at Funky Fairy so I don't think you can get this any more.  The purple polka dot is ribbon I bought from Hobbycraft before Christmas and the brads are from my stash.

The purple double bow at the top is from a Birthday RAK present I received last week.  I have coloured the image using sparkly gel pens, sakura gelly glaze pens, watercolour pencils and ordinary pencils.

I used two self adhesive flat gems on the canopy just to add a little something different and I used silicone gel to raise the image and give it some shape.  I shall also enter this card into the following challenges at:

Cooking it up with Katie - Non Human image/add some texture (gelly glaze pens, brads and gems) and use something you've never used before (including a stamp or digi image) - mine is the image and the gingham papers - both of which are new.
