Well, today is the day all of us Digi Divas have been working towards - the launch day of
Do It With Digis is a new challenge blog being run by my fellow Totally Tilda team mate Lynne. Lynne also runs Sentiments 4 You so if ever you are in need of a nifty sentiment or two, be it digi or die cut, why not pop in and see what Lynne has to offer - you won't be disappointed, they are gorgeous!
So, our first challenge at Do It With Digis is - quite appropriately - NEW BEGINNINGS. Now this can be a new job, a new baby, new house, new school - in fact anything that you would interpret as meaning New Beginnings. Now the blog is called Do It With Digis and obviously that means we want you to use digital images only - no rubber stamps - no digi image - no entry! You can also use digital sentiments if you want to and obviously if you have any of Lynne's digital sentiments then so much the better but that is not a requirement to enter.
Here's the really exciting bit - for each challenge there will be two sponsors and that means two winners!! How cool is that? Talking of sponsors we are very lucky to be sponsored for this first challenge by Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts. If you've never shopped there before - where have you been??? Nikki has a fantastic selection of rubber stamps and other wonderful embellishments etc. What's more Nikki's service is second to none - why not call in and have a look - you won't be disappointed. Here is what Nikki is offering for her prize:
The second sponsor for each challenge will be Lynne herself and here is her prize:
So onto my creation for this challenge:
My friend at work has recently had the most gorgeous baby boy - 5lb 4oz - so tiny and so cute! So I decided to make a door hanger for him and here it is:
The door hanger comes as a kit from the wonderful Susie at Die Cut Dreams and they are available in a variety of colours.
The image is a Meljen's image - cute ain't it?? The image is coloured with my promarkers and Sakura Gelly Glaze pens. I have used my nestabilities and chalked around the edge in pale blue chalk. The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You and I have chalked the background in pale blue and added a heart gem.
The ribbon is one I bought at the NEC in November as is the rocking horse charm.
The buttons are some I bought ages ago and have been looking for an excuse to use.
So folks there you go - our first challenge is up and running and will run for two weeks so that should give you all plenty of time to get creating. Remember to use a digital image (and sentiment if you want to) otherwise your entry, beautiful as it may be, will not be taken into consideration when choosing our winners and top 3 and that would be a shame.
So off you all go and have loads of fun.
