Spring Garden Scene at Die Cut Dreams

Hello folks, time once again for another challenge over at Die Cut Dreams.  We had some beautiful entries for our It's a Girl! (Baby) challenge last time so remember to pop over to the challenge blog and have a look to see who our lucky winner and top 3 were.
So onto the next challenge and this time the theme is:
SPRING GARDEN SCENE

So for this challenge I decided to do another Layout.  This one features my German Shepherd Dog Kai.  We don't have him any more because he was just unmanageable for us and so was rehomed with a friend of mine - I know he is really happy now and that in turn makes me happy.
So here is my layout:
This photograph was taken when he was about four months old - just look at the size of those ears!!! LOL  He was a beautiful dog and I loved him to bits but sometimes things just don't turn out how you want them to!  I used my Craft Artist Platinum to make this layout and used the Blustery Spring Digikit, don't you just love that bubblewrap backing??
Please remember to visit the rest of the Design Team blogs and have a look at their fabulous creations, there are some beauties!
Challenges:
Gingerloft Challenge - Our Furry Friends
One stop craft - Spring Flowers
Paper Cutz - Spring
Crafty Creations - At the bottom of my garden lives..... (I wish he did!)
Creative Cottage - Fabulous florals/flowers
Forgotten scraps - spring or flowers

Feeling Fruity at Totally Tilda!!

No, not that sort of fruity - naughty peeps! LOL  The new challenge is live today at Totally Tilda and we would like to see your Fruity Tilda's.  You must use a Magnolia Tilda stamp on your card and at least one fruit image.  This can be in any form i.e. on the paper, a charm or embellishment or Tilda holding fruit, any form as long at least one fruit features on your creation with Tilda.

We are lucky to be sponsored by:
The winner of this challenge will get any 4 downloads from Nicky's shop!
The Totally Tilda Design Team were lucky enough to be given some of Nicky's Cherry and Peach downloadable papers to play with and I think you will agree when you pop in to the TT challenge blog that they have done an awesome job with them.

As usual my card will be shown with the Midway Reminder next week but I thought I'd give you a sneaky peek as usual just to tease you:

Less is More - Week 4!

I can't believe that I have actually made a card for each of the challenges at Less Is More - but I am loving them and look forward each week to the next one.  So for week 4 the challenge is called "Three Squares" and here is the card I made for this challenge:
I used three different sized squares to accommodate the three different stamp sizes that I used.  These stamps are from one of Joanna Sheen's Favourite Flowers collection called Garden Flowers.
I have coloured everything using my watercolour pencils and a paintbrush - took a while but I think it was worth it.
I added a narrow purple ribbon to the right hand side and put a birthday greeting bottom right.  This was a freebie stamp which is actually all in one line I just inked each word up separately so that it would fit in the space I had.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out and I hope you all like it too.  Why not have a go yourself - you might surprise yourself!

Less Is More - Week #3

You know what, I'm really enjoying these Clean and Simple cards since discovering the new challenge blog "Less Is More".  I have entered each challenge up to now and whilst my cards may not be the best it is giving me a new challenge and I'm loving it.  So onto week 3 of their challenge and this week is theme week and the theme is Spring.  Nothing says Spring to me than a lovely bunch of flowers in a vase - brings the outside inside - if you know what I mean.
So here is the card I made:
I printed the image directly onto the card this time and then coloured it in with Distress Inks and my Water Brush.
The sentiment at the top was done on the computer but I'm not entirely happy with it really - just doesn't look like I wanted it to.  Still I guess practice makes perfect don't it?
The image was one I have had on my computer for ages and is from Sketchin Stamper (can't find a link for it - sorry).  I just think anyone would love a lovely vase of fresh flowers like this on their table - I know I would.  I hope you like my card - it would be nice to get some feedback so leave me some love before you go!

Pink Pink and more Pink at Ooh La La

Well, it's finally happened Ooh La La has finally gone all Pink!!  Just kidding, Pink, Pink and More Pink is the title of our next challenge at Ooh La La.  Now obviously this means that primarily your creation will be - wait for it ............................PINK!!  Bet you didn't see that one coming now did you?
So, here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images from the Femme Fatale CD which you can buy here.  I have gone for the pyramage because I just love the depth it gives.
The pink ribbon and the pink flat backed pearls are both from my stash.  Remember you don't have to use Ooh La La images to enter our challenges but if you have them it would be nice to see them.  There are always freebies at the Ooh La La store if you want to grab them and use them for your creations.
See you soon folks

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Just popped in to remind you all that you have about a week to get your submissions in for the How Does Your Garden Grow challenge currently running at Totally Tilda.
We want to see your fabulously floral creations featuring our best loved girl Tilda.
Here is the card I showed you a sneaky peek of last week:
Tilda is coloured with my promarkers and placed on a die cut from Die Cut Dreams.  The fence is part of a CC Designs Swiss Pixies Halloween Scene stamp (which you can buy from Bunny Zoe's Crafts)
I have just omitted the moon and the bats, I have coloured it in using Tim Holtz distress inks and used a bit of glitter on the cobweb.
All the flowers are from my stash as is the ticket sentiment. The green paper is punched using a Fiskars leafy border punch and the little piece of green paper down the right hand side is the off cut from it that usually goes in the bin!
The background paper is Stampin Up paper and the lace is from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

So there you have it - I hope you like it and that it might just inspire you to enter a card (or other creation) into our latest Totally Tilda challenge.
Have fun.

Another Scrapbook Page......

....... and what's more, I'm really enjoying this new Digital Scrapbooking.  Thanks Ali for the inspiration to start (seeing your beautiful pages gave me the nudge to give it a go, so thank you!).
Anyhoo, on to my Page - the challenge this time at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges is Red and White/and/or pink.  So I went with mainly red and a bit of white.
The photograph is of my DH and myself underneath the Kissing Gate at Gretna Green.  It is taken a number of years ago as Amie was only about 7 years of age at the time and it was her that took the photo. (She's 22 now!!!!) - pity there is so much of the building and not much of us - still she was only 7!
I have used the new Craft Artist programme to make my page and used elements from the Cupid Digikit and the Cute Wedding Digikit.
I hope you like my scrapbook page - if anyone has any pointers that might improve my layouts please don't hesitate to leave me a message - all assistance gratefully received! LOL

Getting sketchy with the Digi Divas!

So onto our fourth challenge with Lynne and her Digi Divas at Do It With Digis.  I hope you all had a great time entering our valentine challenge last time - remember to stop by the challenge blog and see if you were our lucky winner or one of the top 3!
So onto the next challenge and it's Team A's turn again.  This time the challenge is to use the sketch below which was produced by our lovely Bertie.  The DT were also very lucky to be able to use some of Bertie's wonderful digital images too.  Thanks hunni - you're such a sweetie!
So here is the sketch we would like you to use:
........ and here is the card I made based on that sketch.
I have used Bertie's image called Twinkletoes - don't you just love her??
I have coloured the image using Distress Inks and then using my quickie glue pen, added two different shades of glitter to all the creases.  I have used two different die cuts from Die Cut Dreams and some dinky little clips that my good buddy Ali sent me for my birthday (thanks hunni)
The papers are all from a papermania pad called Amethyst Infusion and the ribbon (although you can't really see that much of it!!) is from Crafty Ribbons.  The bling in the opposing corners was another birthday pressie from my Teamie Cor* (thanks hun - I know I've doctored them but didn't want to use them all at once!).  The little sentiment is one of Lynne's fabulous ticket sentiments from Sentiments 4 You.
The flowers are all from my stash and have been sprayed with Spray and Sparkle from Crafter's Companion.
So there it is.  I do hope you will find the time to join in with the Digi Divas again this fortnight.  Please try and pay a visit to the rest of the DT (team A) and see what fabulous projects they have made for your inspiration.  Please leave me some love before you leave so that I know you called by!
I shall also enter this card into the challenge at Stampin B's - Monochromatic

Less Is More - Take #2

I had so much fun making my CAS card for the Less is More challenge last week that I thought I'd give it another go this time.  This week's challenge is to do a One Layer Card using either a flower or a tree.  Now I have had this stamp for simply ages and have never found an opportunity to use it - until now.  So thanks Chrissy and Mandy for making me using my unused stash!
So here's the card I made:
The stamp is a Clarity Stamp as is the Snowdrop word stamp.
I have coloured the image with metallic and watercolour pencils and have used a pale green chalk around the edge of the image.
After I put the chalk on I used a cotton wool ball to wipe some of it off again and then sprayed it all with hairspray to seal the chalk.  I quite like this card and I hope you do too.  If you think you can't do CAS cards, you should give it a go - it really makes you think!
I shall also enter this card into the challenge at:
Instyle Stamps - Photo Inspiration (White and green)
Creative Cottage - Fabulous Florals

Midway Reminder - Totally Tilda's Easter Special

So, remember last week when I gave you a sneaky peek at the card I had made for the Easter Challenge??  Well as you have about another week to get your entries in I thought I would now show you the complete card:
This image was sent to me by my fellow teamie at Totally Tilda/Do It With Digis Christine for my birthday - thanks hunni, arrived at just the right time for this challenge.
The image is coloured with my promarkers and is adhered to one of Susie's fabulous Die Cuts (available at Die Cut Dreams).  The DP is from a K&Co pad called Sparkly Sweet.
The sparkly eggs were from an Easter pack of embellishments that I bought from Hobbycraft recently.  That fabulous sentiment (which I know is a bit crooked - DOH!) is one of Lynne's from Sentiments 4 You
All the flowers and pearls are from my stash and of course I had to add glitter to them to match those little eggies!
So I'm gonna enter this into a couple of challenges and they are:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Let's see some love
Audsentiments - Corny Valentine's
CRAFT Challenge - Valentine's
Craft Your Passion - Use Pink (I hope there's enough Pink to qualify)
Crafty Catz - Valentine's/Love
Creative Card Crew - For a loved one
Cupcake - I Heart You (My hearts are on the sentiment)
Cute Card Thursday - Hearts and Flowers (hearts on the sentiment)
Let's Ink It Up - Romance/Love
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Pastels
My time to Craft - Hearts and Flowers

It's A Girl!!

Wooaahhh!!  Don't go a panicking - not me!! No siree!!!  It's just the title of the new challenge over at the Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog!  Had you going there for a minute didn't I - go an admit it???
Seriously though the new challenge is to make a Baby Girl card - or scrapbook page or gift box or whatever takes your fancy - so long as it is for a Baby Girl it's up to you.
So here is my card for this challenge:
The image is called Sleep Tight from Tiddlyinks and it's an image I won recently. Isn't it just so sweet?
Anyway, I coloured the main bit of the image with my promarkers and glittered the moon and the stars.  I used a Sakura Gelly Glaze pen for the linking doodly bits.  This is then placed onto a circular die cut from Die Cut Dreams
The little flower is handmade using my Cuttlebug and the leaves are punched.  The heart pin is from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.  The embossed card is made using my Cuttlebug and highlighted in pink Perfect Pearls.
The sentiment is one of Lynne's wonderful digi sentiments from Sentiments 4 You and was a birthday present from Lynne (thank you so much hunni).

So there you have it.  I do hope you will join in the fun at Die Cut Dreams this next fortnight - I can't wait to see all your beautiful Baby Girl creations.

A Gem of a Challenge

Have you done the Blog Hop as part of Pink Gem's birthday celebrations yet?  If not you only have  one week left to take part.  There are some fab prizes up for grabs so why not give it a go.  It is running alongside the current challenge which is a sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch for the challenge:
Here is the card I decided to do for the challenge:
I have used one of my old Greeting Farm images that I received in a RAK ages ago.  I have had this coloured up for a while but just never got around to using it - until now.  I used watercolour pencils for the image and matted and layered with purple and lemon card.
The circle at the back is one of Susie's fab die cuts from Die Cut Dreams and the purple paper down the right hand side is from a Papermania paper pack called Amethyst Infusion.  The base DP is from a DCWV adhesive paper pad.
The flower is from my stash as is the pipe cleaner and the pin (which you can buy from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts).  The sentiment is from a Ooh La La CD which are available to buy here.
So, why not give it a go - you never know you could get lucky!  After all, you gotta be in it to win it!!
