Ooh La La - Lots of Sparkle!

Hello bloggy friends.  Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
LOTS OF SPARKLE!
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images and DP from the Quick Makes for Christmas CD which you can buy here.  All the embellishments are from my stash. I have added red glitter to the berries, gold glitter to the seed pods and glamour dust to the flourishes on the corners.  I then added three red gems top right and bottom left.  It does really sparkle IRL but it never shows up on my pics very well.
Here is a close up of where I put the glitter - I think you can see it better on here:
Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

My Memories Suite and a Giveaway!!

Hi all,
Well, recently I was contacted by Liz at My Memories and asked to host a giveaway on my blog.

Now I have to tell you all I was more than a little hesitant as there are some very odd people in the world and I was a bit dubious as to the authenticity of the email.  Having looked at the website though and having downloaded the software I am happy to say that I now feel very confident in being able to offer you all a fabulous discount offer at My Memories and also the chance to win the opportunity to download the My Memories Suite 2 for free!
So what do you have to do I hear you shout??
Well, pop on over to the My Memories website and have a look at what they have to offer.

Then when you've had a mooch around, come back here, and leave me a comment telling me what your favourite digital paper or pack was on the My Memories website.

Here is my code to enable you to save on the My Memories Suite 2 digital scrapbooking software.
STMMMS35832.
Now the code above will give you a $10 discount on The My Memories Suite 2 at My Memories, just quote the code at the checkout to receive your discount.  If you do go ahead and buy the My Memories Suite 2 you will also received a $10 voucher towards any of the downloads available on the site.
So, what can you do with this software???
Well here are just a couple of projects I've made after downloading and playing with the software for only a matter of half an hour or so.
This digital scrapbooking software is very user friendly and so easy to navigate and quite possibly the best digital scrapbooking software I have come across in quite a while.
And here is another one:

So what are you waiting for.  Get on over to the My Memories website, have a good look around and then come back and leave me a comment telling me what your favourite digital pack was.

If you pop over to the My Memories Facebook page or visit them on Twitter or even visit their blog- you will be able to gain extra entries to the contest.
I will draw a winner on 27 November.
Good luck!

Commission Card and DT application!

Hi all,
Well, just saw this in time really.  Kenny K has been having a DT call so I thought I'd give it a go and apply.
I have loved these images for ages now and would dearly love the chance to get to use them more often.
So there are two cards here but it is the first one I shall be entering for the DT call.
This card was made as a commission card for a friend of my DH's.
I had already made her the 65 invitations for the party and this was the follow up card for the Birthday Girl.
Now this image, Club Kid, says 16 year old female teenager to me - what do you think??
So here is the card (A4 size):
The image is coloured with promarkers and prismacolour pencils.  (You can see I put it in a box which I also decorated but forgot to take any pics of! DOH!)
The papers are from Funky Fairy.

The letters are chipboard, which I have inked and clear embossed three times to make them really glossy and shiny. (They are IRL honest!)
The flowers are from my stash and the leaves are hand punched.
The ribbon is from Hobbycraft and the pins were bought from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
This second card was made for my daughter's birthday.  She was forever on the computer updating her iPod and I just thought this image, Download Diva fitted her perfectly.
You will see it is very CAS as she just doesn't do flowers and bows! Sooo not cool! LOL.
I have added red streaks in her hair because DD had red highlights at the time.
So there you go then.  I hope you like my cards.  They both went down really well with the recipients I'm pleased to say.

Midway Reminder - Totally Tilda #36

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
MASKING
If you're not sure exactly what Masking is then hop on over to our Liz's blog and have a look at her tutorial.
********************
Now you know that I always show you a sneaky peek of my card the day the challenge goes live don't you?  So today is the day I can show you the whole thing!  Bet you're excited now aren't you?? LOL
Just kidding, I'm not really that big headed, honest.  So here you go then, my card for this challenge:

This is Happy Spring Tilda which I have coloured with my Prismacolour Pencils and masked her with Floral Background both of which you can buy at Sir Stampalot.
Down the right hand side you can see pink glitter butterflies within a band of blue glitter, a little trick I picked up at the Hobbycraft show at the NEC.  I have used my new Martha Stewart PATP punch which I picked up at the same show.
All the flowers are from my stash as is the pin, the beaded crystal branch and the tiny gems and larger gems top and bottom of the card.
So there you go peeps.  Off you go now and do some masking, you never know your luck - you could win that fabby voucher from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
Good luck.

Crafty Ribbons - Tag You're It!

Happy Thursday morning to you lovely peeps!
Time once again for a new challenge at Crafty Ribbons.
Thanks for all your fabulous creations on our last challenge, you really are a crafty lot aren't you?
Please stop by the Crafty Ribbons Challenge blog and see if you were one of our handpicked top 3 or our Random Winner!
So, onto our new challenge.
This time the challenge is:
MAKE A TAG!
Once again we have a fabulous prize on offer and here it is:
Now if you haven't seen or felt these ribbons before then you are in for a real treat.  They are totally lush!
So, why not enter your tag into our challenge to be in with a chance of winning these fabby ribbons.
****************
So here is my project for this challenge:
First off I used my Fleur De Lis rectangle nestabilitie to cut out the shape.  Then I stamped three different shades of Distress Ink onto a wet surface and then sprayed with water.  I dragged the die cut through the ink and then left it to dry.  Then I embossed it with milled lavender distress embossing powder. (I haven't missed bits when I stamped it the reindeer has some lovely flowers on it!)
Next I used my newly purchased set of Reindeer stamps from Kanban (gorgeous set, well worth buying!).  I stamped this with Versafine Black ink and then clear embossed it.  I did the same with the big and three small snowflakes at the top.
I added a small bow and ribbon to tie it to my parcel and of course I used seam binding ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.  You should see the range of colours this comes in - no.... really you should!!
Then I stamped my Dusky Concord Distress Ink pad all over (front and back) a piece of white lace and placed that across the bottom left hand corner of my tag.  The roses are all from my stash and I hand punched the shiny leaves.  That gorgeous pin is from the Funkie Junkie's Etsy Shop - if you love vintage you will love Linda's shop - believe me!
Finally that cute little ticket sentiment is from the lovely Lynne's blog Sentiments 4 You.  If you are looking for something other than sentiments then why not pay a visit to Lynne's fabulous on-line shop Crafts 4 You.

Challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge - Anything Goes
Shopping our Stash - Christmas or Winter related
Bows and Berries - Make a Tag
Hooked on Crafts - Something Punched (The whole shape is a Nestie Die Cut)
Audsentiments - Any Christmas Sentiment

Die Cut Dreams - DT card

Good morning my blogging friends.  Here we are at the start of another week so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams.  Thank you once again to all those who entered our last challenge.  Please remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were one of our lucky winners.
So, onto the new challenge and this time the theme is:
THANK YOU WITH LOTS OF CIRCLES
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
The image is a Sarah Kay image, sweet isn't she?
She has been coloured with my flexmarkers (am really loving these new pens - can't wait for the next sets to come out!).  I have cut her out using my scallped circle nestabilities and chalked around the edge with purple chalk.
The circular doily die is a Marianne design die and the spotty flower is part of the same die set.
The sentiment is one of Lynne's from Sentiments 4 You.  There are loads of fabulous sentiments on Lynne's site, you really should stop by and have a mooch!! I have embossed around the edge and added a Prima flower to the middle of the sentiment.
Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  Have fun!
Challenges:
Card Makin Mamas - Give thanks
Frosted Designs - Die Cuts

New challenge and a sneaky peaky!

Hello bloggy friends.
I hope this Sunday finds you well and happy?
Well, as it is Sunday that means there is another new challenge over at the Totally Tilda challenge blog.
Firstly though, I would just like to say thank you for all your wonderful entries on the last challenge.
It always makes it hard to choose a winner/top 3 but that's part of the fun!
So what are we going to tempt you with this time??
Well the new challenge is:
MASKING!
Now just in case you don't know, when we say Masking, we mean we want you to use two images on the same creation.  That means stamping one image on a scrap piece of paper (I use post-it notes and make sure you stamp up the sticky end). Then you stamp your image on your card, cover it over with the "mask" you made on your post-it note and then stamp your other image over the top.  When you remove your "mask" you will find that you have two images that look as though they were made as one! (Well that's the plan anyway).  Good luck.
If you want some pictorial guidance then why not pay a visit to Christine's blog as she has a tutorial that you can follow.
******************
You will know by now that I only give you a sneaky peak at my card this week but if you hop on over to the challenge blog you will be able to see what my fabulous Design Team buddies have to inspire you.
So here is a sneaky peak at what I will be showing you next week on the Midway Reminder.
Can ya tell wot it is yit??
See ya back here next Sunday for the full reveal.
Have fun peeps!

Guest Designing for Polka Doodles

Hello all, and welcome to the best day of the week!!
Yippppeeeee, it's Friday!
Have you seen the new badge in my sidebar????????
Well, those of you who follow Polka Doodles will know that they recently had a DT call.
I thought I would apply but sadly didn't get chosen for the Design Team.
(Sad face with tears!)
However.........
They did ask me to be a Guest Designer for three out of their next six challenges along with some other lucky Guest Designers.
So, today is my first challenge and that challenge is:
And here it is:
This is Rudy!  Cute ain't he?????
I decided to print out the main image and some decoupage bits to make the card a bit more 3D.
Other than the ribbon, the whole card is made from images on the Paper Boutique 2 - Creative Christmas CD which you can buy here.

I also made one without the ribbon!
Personally, I prefer the one with the ribbon - what do you think??
And again a glimpse from the side to show the 3D effect!
Please call in at the Polka Doodles challenge blog and have a look at the rest of the Design Team's fabulous creations.
I will be back in a couple of weeks with my next project as a Guest Designer.
See you then!

A Quick Reminder and Outstanding Service!

Hi peeps,
Just a quick reminder to let you all know that you only have a few days left to join in with our fabby Blog Hop over at Die Cut Dreams!
There is a fabulous prize on offer for the overall winner of the Blog Hop which has been donated by the lovely Susie at Die Cut Dreams.
You can also enter the current challenge to be in with a chance of winning a Guest Designer Spot and on top of all that there is candy to be won on some of the DT blogs.
So, what you waiting for????  Get on over and join in the fun, after all, you could win more than once!!
*******************
Secondly, I have come across some fabulous people during my time blogging and sometimes I think these people deserve a big shout out for Great Service.
You all know that I love my ribbons from Crafty Ribbons and I have often told you what a fabulous service they offer - sometimes even giving free P&P just by answering a simple question.

*****************
Well here is another fabby online shop which I think goes that extra mile for their customers.
I have recently started shopping online at Sir Stampalot!
sirstampalot.co.uk
sirstampalot.co.uk, rubber stamping, card making projects, scrapbooking and paper crafting
I set up my account and started browsing.  I ran out of time so logged out, determined to go back as soon as possible.
When I tried to log back in, I couldn't access my account! I was sure I was using the right password but it just wasn't having any of it.  So I sent an email via the "Contact Us" button on the homepage.
Oh My Word, the speed of the reply from the lovely Janice knocked me sideways.
She checked my account, changed my password, emailed me the new one and then told me to try logging in and if successful, to change my password.
BINGO!!!
I placed my order and it arrived within a couple of days!  So What?? I hear you say, nothing special there, most people have a good delivery service.
Quite right!  BUT!!  Yesterday lunchtime I placed an order - and here's the best bit - it arrived at my office this morning, at about 10:00 am.  Now that is what I call Damn Good Service.
I always get an email as soon as my order has been despatched and bless her, Janice always writes, "Enjoy your goodies!"
Well Janice, thanks to your fantastic service and quick response to my email I can safely say I will be enjoying my goodies and will definitely be back to shop again......and again......and again........and again!!!
I think it is important to praise fantastic service, especially in this day and age.
So thank you Janice, for your help and your fantastic service!
I hope more people will stop by and have a browse through your store.  I am sure that, like me, they will be bowled over!

Totally Tilda Midway Reminder - #35 Christmas (But NO Red, Green or Blue)

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
CHRISTMAS
(BUT NO RED, GREEN OR BLUE)
********************
Now you know that I always show you a sneaky peek of my card the day the challenge goes live don't you?  So today is the day I can show you the whole thing!  Bet you're excited now aren't you?? LOL
Just kidding, I'm not really that big headed, honest.  So here you go then, my card for this challenge:
I think that this is quite possibly one of my most favourite Tildas.  I have coloured her using both Prismacolour Pencils and Promarkers.
I tried a bit of distressing on this one, using some Tim Holtz C'ore dinations card and roughing up the edges.  Don't normally do this but I'm quite pleased with how this one went.
So, because we can't use Red, Green or Blue on these cards, I chose to do the Holly in gold and silver.  The ribbon (including the wide ribbon across the middle of the card - didn't see that did you? LOL), is of course from Crafty Ribbons.  The charm, pin and twirly stick were from my stash.  (I know that the twirly things are available to buy but I make my own from a pipe cleaner and I think it looks just as effective don't you??)
The sentiment is from the lovely Lynne at Sentiments 4 You.  I sponged the background and then added some gold glitter around the edge of the ticket. So peeps, there you have it, what do you think?
Please leave me a little comment so I know you stopped by.
Challenges:
By the Cute and Girly - Christmas Girls
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Christmas
Papertake Weekly - First Christmas
Party Time Tuesdays - Bling it On (Anything sparkly)

And just quickly before I go, remember that Susie's fabby store
DIE CUT DREAMS
is now officially open once again.
Why not pop in and see what's there, trust me you won't be disappointed!
