Commission Card and DT application!

Hi all,

Well, just saw this in time really.  Kenny K has been having a DT call so I thought I'd give it a go and apply.

I have loved these images for ages now and would dearly love the chance to get to use them more often.

So there are two cards here but it is the first one I shall be entering for the DT call.

This card was made as a commission card for a friend of my DH's.

I had already made her the 65 invitations for the party and this was the follow up card for the Birthday Girl.

Now this image, Club Kid, says 16 year old female teenager to me - what do you think??

So here is the card (A4 size):

The image is coloured with promarkers and prismacolour pencils.  (You can see I put it in a box which I also decorated but forgot to take any pics of! DOH!)

The papers are from Funky Fairy.

The letters are chipboard, which I have inked and clear embossed three times to make them really glossy and shiny. (They are IRL honest!)

The flowers are from my stash and the leaves are hand punched.

The ribbon is from Hobbycraft and the pins were bought from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

This second card was made for my daughter's birthday.  She was forever on the computer updating her iPod and I just thought this image, Download Diva fitted her perfectly.

You will see it is very CAS as she just doesn't do flowers and bows! Sooo not cool! LOL.

I have added red streaks in her hair because DD had red highlights at the time.

So there you go then.  I hope you like my cards.  They both went down really well with the recipients I'm pleased to say.

Some fantastic news from Crafty Ribbons

Hi all.

Those of you who know me and my blog will know that I have always championed Crafty Ribbons, their choice of ribbons and buttons and their fantastic delivery.

Well, here's the thing - they have now decided to have their own challenge blog.  The person that is going to be running this blog is none other than Mandy at Crafty Fox Cards and guess what????? She is looking for a Design Team to help with these fantastic new challenges.  Here is what Mandy has posted on the new Crafty Ribbons Challenge blog:

DT Call

Crafty Ribbons Challenge is a fantastic new challenge blog that will be launching on the 1st September 2011. We will be a fortnightly/bi-weekly challenge blog. Well, who could resist applying for a DT position like this??  Not me that's for sure.  So here are three projects that I particularly like which feature ribbons I have purchased from Crafty Ribbons in the past.

1.  This is a DT card for Totally Tilda and on here are three different ribbons from CR.  The oriental ribbon down the side, the black bow and the little pink butterfly!!

2.  This is a mother's day card I made following the tutorial for the ribbon rose on the Crafty Ribbons website - it's a bit on the bulky side but it was my first effort.

3.  This is a card I made for my DT project at Totally Tilda for the Ribbons and Roses challenge and features two different ribbons from CR:

I Love Digi Challenge - DT Call

Morning all,
Before I do this post I must just wish Ali aka Dragonlady a very happy birthday!!!  Ali's blog is called Crafty Dragons and if you haven't visited already then you really should - she does some lovely stuff.  Hop on over and leave her some love and wish her a happy birthday.  Have a fab day Ali (especially as you have a day off work too!!!!! - Lucky Devil!)

Now for all of those folk out there who love to use digi images, papers, ribbons etc I just wanted to let you know about a new challenge blog on the block.
