Final GDT spot for Polka Doodles

Hello all.
A very happy Friday morning to you.
Well it is time for my final venture as GDT for Polka Doodles, thanks for all your lovely comments on my Easel Drawer Box Card.
Well this time the challenge over at Polka Doodles is:
THROUGH THE WINDOW
Include a Window or Aperture to Look Into
So here is my card:

I have used images and papers from the Pretty Sweet CD and followed a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers but have adapted the aperture shape.

All the stamped images are made using Clarity Stamps, Split Tree, leaves to dress the tree and the flock of birds.  The grass is done using the side of a tree stamp.

I hope you can see the 3D effect ok, it is difficult to take the pics without blurring the images.
I'd like to thank the girls at Polka Doodles for having me as one of their GDT's and for making me think outside the box, I have had a ball, thanks girls.

Polka Doodles - GDT project #2

Hello all.
A very happy Friday morning to you.
Well it is time for my second venture as GDT for Polka Doodles, thanks for all your lovely comments on my Rudy Christmas Card.
Well this time the challenge over at Polka Doodles is:
SOMETHING FOR A CHILD
(WITH A HIDDEN ELEMENT TO FIND)
So, using the Pretty Sweet CD this is what I came up with:
It's a drawer box Easel card.  The tutorial for the drawer box can be found here.  Once I got my head around the dimensions it call came together quite easily.
The papers, which I have used to cover the box and the ready coloured image are all from, as I said the Pretty Sweet CD, don't you just love those patchwork papers??  The paper on the draw is also from the same CD.  I have attached a handle to the draw for ease of opening.
The image is cut out with my nestabilities and I have added a gorgeous organza swiss polka dot ribbon available here at Crafty Ribbons.  The sentiment is one of the lovely Lynne's at Sentiments 4 You.  I have added a hint of colour using my Flexmarkers.  The little gems are from my stash.
And this sentiment is one from the Pretty Sweet CD.  These sentiments come ready sized for different sized circle punches and are just so fabulous.  I have added a circle of gems to the sentiment and raised it up on sticky pads to make it my stopper for the easel.
And here is where the hidden element is!  Obviously when the time comes this little drawer will be filled with goodies - I know just the perfect little girl I'm gonna send it to as well!
So there you go peeps, my drawer box easel card.  Hope you liked it.

Guest Designing for Polka Doodles

Hello all, and welcome to the best day of the week!!
Yippppeeeee, it's Friday!
Have you seen the new badge in my sidebar????????
Well, those of you who follow Polka Doodles will know that they recently had a DT call.
I thought I would apply but sadly didn't get chosen for the Design Team.
(Sad face with tears!)
However.........
They did ask me to be a Guest Designer for three out of their next six challenges along with some other lucky Guest Designers.
So, today is my first challenge and that challenge is:
And here it is:
This is Rudy!  Cute ain't he?????
I decided to print out the main image and some decoupage bits to make the card a bit more 3D.
Other than the ribbon, the whole card is made from images on the Paper Boutique 2 - Creative Christmas CD which you can buy here.

I also made one without the ribbon!
Personally, I prefer the one with the ribbon - what do you think??
And again a glimpse from the side to show the 3D effect!
Please call in at the Polka Doodles challenge blog and have a look at the rest of the Design Team's fabulous creations.
I will be back in a couple of weeks with my next project as a Guest Designer.
See you then!
