Last Post for Die Cut Dreams

Good morning my blogging friends.
So, here we are at the start of another week so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams
Sadly though this will be the last ever challenge at Die Cut Dreams.
Susie has decided that the time is right to close her online shop and the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog so that she can spend more time with her family and doing her crafting rather than die cutting for so many hours a day.  You will still be able to find her die cuts on sale on Ebay here as and when she has time to do some cutting.
 ****************
Thank you once again to all those who entered our last challenge.  Please remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were one of our lucky winners.
So, onto the new and final challenge and this time the theme is:
PINK AND RED AND A HEART(S)
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
I have used the Sugar Nellie image called Apple Pip (I do love this series of images) and coloured her in with my promarkers and flexmarkers.  She is placed on one of Susie's fabulous Die Cuts and the sentiment is one I made myself on the computer.
The gorgeous ribbon is one I bought before I found the fabulous Crafty Ribbons and the flowers are all from my stash.  I will pop back later and add in the details of the papers (cos I can't remember which pad they are from - I think they are Basic Grey but will have to check!!) I'll also add some more piccys later too.
The heart charm is again from my stash.

Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  It would be lovely to see how many entries we could get for this challenge so why not pass the word and let everyone know it's the last one and that we'd like to go out with a bang!!
***************
Our sponsor for this last challenge is the lovely Mel at Crimson Cloud
The prize on offer is the choice of 3 packs of Die cuts from the Crimson Cloud store.
Please pop over and see all the yummy crafty goodies Mel has to offer @ Crimson Cloud
Back later to add me challenges in too!

Critters at Christmas

Well it is Sunday afternoon and my weekend is nearly over!! Boohooo!
Still, there's just enough time for me to post my next Christmas Card as part of the Christmas Card Club.
This time it was Pinky's turn to choose the challenge and she chose Critters.
That meant any type of critter apparently so I went for this cheeky chappy!

This is an image from Charmed Cards and Crafts.  When you buy their images you get black and white ones and ready coloured images too.  Great when you are short of time.

I teamed him up with some free papers from Cardmaking and Papercraft, added a die cut fancy shape which I coloured and glittered. I have added glitter to his hat and scarf but it doesn't show up very well.
I added two pieces of fabulous grosgrain ribbon from, of course, Crafty Ribbons and finally a little die cut sentiment which I've had for a while now and just never used.

So there you go then.
Challenges:

Tilda's Valentine challenge!

Hello bloggy friends.
I hope this Sunday finds you well and happy?
Well, as it is Sunday that means there is another new challenge over at the Totally Tilda challenge blog.
Firstly though, I would just like to say thank you for all your wonderful entries on the last challenge.
It always makes it hard to choose a winner/top 3 but that's part of the fun!
Also, just before I get on to the new challenge I would just like to say a big warm hello to Helene who has joined our team.  I have worked with Helene before at Die Cut Dreams and let me tell you here work is awesome.  Looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations Helene!
So what are we going to tempt you with this time??
Well the new challenge is:
PINK AND RED VALENTINE
(You must use pink and red as the main colours on your card.  You can use splashes of other colours but to be in with a chance of winning the prize your main colour theme must be pink and red!)
Speaking of prizes, we are sponsored this time by the lovely Nikki
at
From now on I will be showing you a complete card to mark the beginning of the new challenge at Totally Tilda and then I will be making a new card for the Midway Reminder.  So, now you get two for the price of one!!  What a bargain!
So here is the project I made for the new challenge:
I was walking through Hobbycraft one day and spotted these red wooden hearts, just had to have one.  I have added some Magnolia papers (such fabulous quality papers to use!) to one half of the heart and added Cupid Tilda on top using silicone glue.
I also added three pink flat backed pearls top right.
On the red side of the heart I have used a Magnolia Doohickey doily (expensive but beautiful) and then added a pink flourish on top of the doily.

The sentiment is from the last Magnolia club kit.
I then added a lace flower and popped a white rose with pink centre into the middle of it.

I'm quite pleased with how this came out, not my usual sort of thing but I'm glad I gave it a go.
Challenges:
Allsorts - One or More hearts
Charisma Cardz - Pretty in Pink
Cupcake Craft Challenges - All you need is love

Remember to stop by the challenge blog and see if you were amongst our winners.
So the new challenge is:
BLUE AND WHITE
For this challenge we are thrilled to be sponsored by:
Please grab my banner

*******
Pink Cat Studio
Prize: 5 Digital Images
and
*******
Prize: 2 digital images
For my card I have used an image called Tweet on Branch by Pink Cat Studio
***********
So, here you go then:
The image is printed on to white card and then cut out with my Nestabilities.
I have used my Flexmarkers to colour the image and blue chalk around the edge of the Nestabilitie.

I followed an old sketch from Sketch n Stash. They have a sketch catalogue where you can choose from all the sketches they have used in the past - invaluable!!
The papers I have used are all from a Papermania pad called Venetian Skies.
I have used a shiny sparkling trim across each of the corners and added lace along the edges.
I finished off with a little blue bow and some blue gems.
I'm really pleased with how this turned out and I hope you like it too.
I shall be putting the DT links on my DT page as soon as I have a minute. Until then why not pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at what the fabulous DT members have made for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Please leave me a comment before you go, that way I know you popped in!
They really do mean the world to me.

A Very Blue Christmas

Now obviously I don't mean a sad Christmas 'cos that just wouldn't be right now would it??
No, I mean the colour of my Christmas Card.  You think I'm bonkers right?? (On second thoughts, don't answer that one!!) LOL
Well, I haven't lost me marbles, no I have joined a lovely group of ladies at the Christmas Card Club.  We have our own challenges every couple of weeks and the aim is to make all our Christmas Cards well ahead of schedule for next Christmas.  Believe me, after my tardy attempts at sending them out last Christmas I am determined not to get caught out again.
So, the first challenge I got to join in with was set by Keryn.  She wanted us to think thin!! (No silly, not weightwatchers - although that might not be a bad idea at the moment me thinks! LOL)
No, Keryn wanted us to make a card that would be thin enough to post without incurring extra postage charges.  So that meant no flowers or decoupage or anything that would "fatten" the envelope.
So, here is the card I made:
I have used images and papers from an Ooh La La CD called Quick Makes for Christmas and you can find it here.
I just adore blue and white Christmas cards (nearly as much as black and white) and to me it just screamed "add some glitter, add some glitter!" - so I did - lots of it!!

(Hey Mandy, you'd be proud of me hunni - just look at all this glitter!!)
I used my quickie glue pen and white glamour dust because I think it gives the best sparkle.
If you look at the white side of the card you will see some stamping behind the main image.  This was an old wooden stamp I've had for ages, stamped in embossing ink and then chalked over. I think I'd use Perfect Pearls next time.
I have added a little die cut sentiment to finish it off and I'm really pleased with how it came out.  Please let me know what you think.
If you want to see what everyone else did there are links to the rest of the Club Members on the CCC link at the top of the page. (If you can't find them just yet don't worry they will be there as soon as I get a minute)
Challenges:
Crafty Boots Challenge - Inspired by a Song - Blue Christmas (Elvis Presley)
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Song Title (as above)

Seeing Double at Ooh La La!

Hello bloggy friends.  Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
SEEING DOUBLE!
(So we want to see you use the same image more than once!)
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images and DP from the brand new Shoes in Bloom 2 CD which you can buy here.  All the embellishments are from my stash.
I know you are asking where the other image is, well it is (or should I say they are) inside:
This was one of several cards I made for the release show for this new CD on Create and Craft on 23rd December.  Stupid me - forgot to record it so I don't know if they were shown or not!! DOH!
So there you go then.  Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

Midway Reminder Totally Tilda

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
TILDA WITH A NON-DOMESTICATED ANIMAL
(So sorry that means no animal that you could keep as a pet!!)
********************
Here's the card I made for the midway reminder:
I've used one of Susie's Die Cuts and and ink pad to change the colour to suit the rest of my card.
I did the same thing to the leaves down the left hand side.
Tilda is coloured with my Flexmarkers and the stamps in the background are from a Hobby Art clear stamp set.
The flowers are all from my stash, the glittery twirly thing is a pipe cleaner, sprayed with glue and rolled in glitter - quite pleased with how it turned out.  That lovely pin is from the Funkie Junkie's etsy shop here.
That fabulous sentiment is from a bunch of sentiments that my lovely buddy Susie sent me - thanks hunni!
The picket fence is a Whiff of Joy die - cut out of TH Core dination card and cut in half.
So there you go friends.  I do hope you find the time to join us for this challenge.  I do so love to see your fabulous creations.
Challenges:
I Love promarkers - Anything Goes
Magnolia-licious Highlites - Anything Goes
**********************

First, I joined some lovely ladies in a Christmas Card club.  I am not going to get caught out again not having made enough Christmas Cards come the festive season, oh no.  I shall have plenty to go at and I am so pleased that I got the chance to join them.

Secondly, I noticed a DT call a couple of weeks ago and so decided to apply and guess what????? I have been asked to join the Design Team for Crafting for all Seasons!!  Wooohooo!  How cool is that?  So look out for my first DT card for them next Wednesday!

So, onto our new challenge.
This time the challenge is:
LOVE IS RED AND BLACK!
This is the prize for this challenge:

So here is my project for this challenge:
I have used one of my wickedly neglected Anya stamps and have also used the sketch at Anyone for Anya? as the basis for my card.
The base was blue but I have used black ink to change the colour to fit the theme.
Anya is coloured with Flexmarkers and Promarkers.
The lush dotty ribbon across the middle and the bow is of course from Crafty Ribbons and you can find the complete range here.
The little black flower is from a pack of Prima flowers which I purchased from Bunny Zoe's Crafts a while back.  The base DP is from a pack of half die cut shapes which I have used two of and stuck them together to make the square.  Can you see the join??? LOL
The flourishes are all Marianne Creatables, the little gems are from my stash and the ticket is from Lynne's Sentiments 4 You range (sadly now closed), to which I have added TH Distress Ink (Firebrick Red).
So there you have it folks.

Sympathy Time - DCD DT card

Ooops, so sorry I forgot to post my Die Cut Dreams DT card.  So another week begins and that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams.  Thank you once again to all those who entered our last challenge.  Please remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were one of our lucky winners.
So, onto the new challenge and this time the theme is:
SYMPATHY
Let's face it, they are the sort of cards that nobody wants to make but always need at some point!
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
This card is made using only two stamps, both available at Clarity Stamps.  The little corner stamp is placed in each of the four corners on the base card, I used a VersaMagic Chalk ink pad in Eggplant.

Then the same stamp is placed in each of the four corners on a smaller piece of white card, which is matted on to a slightly larger piece of aubergine coloured card.

The Thinking of You stamp is then stamped in the middle of the smaller piece of card.  Then, very carefully, using second generation ink stamped again but slightly lower and to the left of the first inking thus giving a shadow effect.  You can only achieve this effect with clear stamps because you can see through them to where they are being placed.
Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  Have fun!
