Challenge number 2 at Audsentiments

Hello all,
Wow, what a lovely turnout for our first challenge.  A huge big thank you to all those of you who took the time to enter.  Remember to hop on over the challenge blog and see if you were our winner or one of our top 3!

The Design Team got to choose an image to work with.  I chose Twiddly Wings 2 - Bunches and here is the card I made with her:

I based my card on a past sketch by Mina at Truly Scrumptious which I have shown below for reference:

I used four pieces of the same DP from a Papermania paper pack called Amethyst and off set them in squares as the background. 

I have coloured the image with my promarkers and Sakura Gelly Glaze pens and added a little purple glitter to the stars in her bunch of flowers. 

I printed off the sentiment on the computer and decided to split it into two with part at the top and part at the bottom. 

The purple flower is from my stash as are the purple roses.   Remember to hop on over to the other DT members and see what inspiration they have for you.  Have fun peeps.

Domi's Wedding Challenge at Simon Says - and a few others!

Oh my word it is sooooo cold here today - I hope you are warmer wherever you are in the world!!
So onto my card for today's post.  I noticed that the lovely Domi is soon to marry her fiance Uli and that Lorraine at Simon Says decided to do a challenge to make a wedding card for the both of them and post it off.  So I had a digi stamp in mind to use and set to work.
I used the current sketch at Moving Along With The Times which I have shown below:

I have made the area for the image a little bigger as I have used Die Cuts recently purchased from Die Cut Dreams, so here is the card I made:

The backing paper is from a Papermania pad called Exquisite and I thought it was just right.  The image I have used is called Jr Bride and Groom and is from Judy at Digi Doodle Shop.  I used watercolour pencils to colour in the groom apart from his shoes where I used a Sakura Gelly Glaze pen so as to make them look shiny. 

For the bride I used promarkers for the bouquet and her hair and watercolour pencil for the dress.  I only coloured the crease lines in the dress and head dress as I just wanted a hint of colour - like the sun catching the material.  I cut out the image and embossed it on the back to make it stand out a little and then fixed it to the white die cut panel with silicone.  I also used silicone to attach the white die cut panel to the lemon one and then added a small lemon bow at the top.  I used white and lemon flowers in opposite corners and two yellow flower gems at the other opposite corners.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out in the end and I hope Domi and Uli like it.

Tilda In Pink!

Well, I'm not normally a Pink girl but when I saw the latest challenge at Die Cut Dreams I just had to have a go.  I received some Tilda images from several of my friends at our Crafty RAK club so I thought it was about time I put them to good use.
So here is the card I made:

I followed the sketch at the new blog site A Crafty Little Place (formerly Die Cuts R Us) which I flipped to better fit my image and which I have shown below:

I coloured Tilda with Promarkers, Marvy Markers and Sakura Gelly Glaze pens and then chalked the edge of the card with two shades of pearlescent chalk.

 

The papers I have used are from a Docrafts Daisy and Dandelion pad called Picnic Patch which I thought were perfect for this card.

 

I added a foiled sentiment at the bottom left and a pink gingham ribbon down the left hand side of the card just to finish it off.  I also added four flat back pearls to the four corners of the image as well as one on the sentiment.

Ooh La La - Challenge 53 - Minimalist - White Space Essential!

Good Bank Holiday Monday morning to you all.  I hope you enjoy your day today and that the weather is kind to us all.
So, Monday again and that means time for another challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  The theme for this fortnight's challenge is Minimalist - White Space Essential.  Now I can do minimal but I'd rather not so this was a bit of a challenge for me.  However, with such fabulous CD's to work with, I wasn't stumped for long.

This card is made using the White Wonder decoupage images from the Fleur D'Imagination CD from Ooh La La which is available from their Store along with many other fantastic products - well worth a look!

I cut out two scalloped squares using my nestabilities and then embossed them with my swirls folder in my Cuttlebug and used these behind the image. 

I embossed the little flowers on the back to give them some shape before decoupaging them up.  I only used two layers as I wanted this to be very very simple.  The only other thing I added were three yellow tear drop gems at the bottom left of the card.

As the front of the card was so simple I decided to use one of the inserts from the same section of the CD for the inside.

Challenge number 33 at Creative Inspirations.

Hello everyone,
Oh boy do these weeks fly by or what.  I think I must be getting old - time seems to go soooo quickly these days.
So, it's Sunday again and time for another challenge at Creative Inspirations.  I must say the entries for the last challenge were beautiful.  Remember to hop over to the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog and see if you were the lucky winner.
For this new challenge we would like you to make a Congratulations card.  It can be for any time of celebration, i.e. Wedding Day, Engagement, New Baby, New Home - the decision is entirely yours.  Just remember to follow the brief and please make sure your link is to the blog post and not to your blog in general.
So, here is the card I made for this challenge:

As you can see it is a congratulations card for 1st time Grandparents.  This was a card I was asked to make by a work colleague and I thought it fitted in with our brief perfectly. 

I have used an image called Vintage Baby from Sugar Nellie and have coloured it in with my promarkers and watercolour pencils.  I stamped the image onto a white die cut and layered it onto a soft pastel blue die cut available at Die Cut Dreams, which my good friend Susie sent me recently, thanks Susie!

The two DP I have used come from a papermania pack called Venetian Skies and these have been matted onto blue card.  The sentiment was printed on the computer onto lighter blue card and again this was matted on to the darker blue card.  I placed a ribbon across the middle which says "tiny hands and tiny feet" but I don't think you can quite see all the words!

I added some small blue gems at the bottom left, three buttons top right, one brad on the sentiment piece and a ribbon/pearl on the bottom right of the card as these were all elements on the sketch I followed which was a past one at Sketchy Colours and I have shown it below for reference only:
