Shoes in Bloom with a flourish!!

Another fortnight rushes by and now we are closer to Christmas than from it!  Aaarrggghh! 
Anyway, onto the new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and this fortnight we want to see your Flourishes and Pearls.
Here is the card I made for this challenge:

I chose a Lily of the Valley image from the pyramage section of the Shoes In Bloom CD which you can buy at the Ooh La La Shop here. 

I used two fabulous die cuts, one plain white and the other a gorgeous lime green - available from Die Cut Dreams. 

I used a little scroll stamp that I received in a recent candy win (thanks Kirsten) and added small flat backed green pearls.  I added a little bouquet of white flowers and secured them with green and white grosgrain ribbons. (I actually pinched this idea from Susie at Die Cut Dreams - but it's not a patch on her little bouquets!!)

Going for the Monochrome look!!

Hello my blogging friends and thanks for dropping by.  Time once again for another challenge over at Creative Inspirations Challenges and this fortnight the challenge is "Monochrome".  Now as you all probably know monochrome means "shades of one colour" and white.  So whatever colour you want to use is fine but if you want to use black and white then that's fine to.

So without further ado here is the card I made using one of Jenni's digital images called "All Dressed Up".

I coloured her in with my promarkers, used watercolour pencils for her hair and skin,  (If you look closely you will see I have even tried adding pink highlights to her hair!) and Sakura Gelly Glaze pen for the necklace and bracelet.

I used an old sketch from Magnolia Down Under and used three different pink DP's, a piece of pink card and a pink die cut scalloped oval (available at Die Cut Dreams) with a white die cut oval in the centre.  I cut out the image and embossed her from the back so that she would stand proud on the oval die cut and I adhered the image with silicone glue.  I sponged the edge of the white oval with pink chalk ink and added three pink gems top right and bottom left and a pink flower on the side panel. 

I stamped a sentiment (which is a Stampin Up Stamp from a set I purchased from Sprytebyrd a while ago - thanks Dee).

DT Card - Challenge #4 at Audsentiments

Oh my word, I cannot believe that we have reached challenge number four already.  Thank you so much to those of you who have taken part in our previous three challenges - I hope you are enjoying them as much as we are!  Are you the lucky winner of our last challenge - why not hop on over to the challenge blog and find out.
Anyway, on to this next challenge which is "Hello Friend".  Now we must be able to see your sentiment on the card somewhere.  It can be on the front or within the sentiment inside the card but we must be able to see the exact phrase somewhere.  So that said, please feel free to interpret this in any way you want to - it can be an ATC, or a layout or a card or a gift bag/box, so long as you use the sentiment "Hello Friend" somewhere on your project then you will be included in the draw.
So, here is my card for this challenge:

I have used an image from Softpencil  called Molly in Spring and Elizabeth at Softpencil also happens to be our sponsor for this fortnight's challenge.  The uber talented Elizabeth has offered us a $10 voucher for the winner to spend in her store (see the challenge blog for more details about Elizabeth and Softpencil)

I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and have tried to use soft colours as I felt that these fitted the adorable image.  I also added a couple of buttons and a bow, a length of ribbon and three flowers.  I used DP from a K&Co pad called Sparkly Sweet, one of my favourites. 

I printed off the Hello Friend sentiment on my computer in lime green to compliment the other colours on the card and backed this onto pink and then green card.

Anything but a card at I Love Digi.........

........ and when your main craft is making cards this is always a tough one.  I always pop over to Split Coast Stampers for inspiration when I have to do one of these posts.  This challenge is no exception and again I went to Split Coast for some ideas on what to do.

When I saw this box in a bag I knew it was the thing I wanted to make.  I know the papers/card I have used are Christmassy but you can never start tooo early on your Christmas preparations now can you?
So here is my creation for this challenge:

I used digi papers from The Craft Table called Winter Wonderland which I love, for the box

and a 12 x 12 paper from my stash.  The blue card which I used for the bottom surround and the tabs, is some I had in my stash and for the bottom surround I used a Christmas Holly punch and for the tab handles I went for some faux stitching around the edge.

For my Christmas box/bag I decided to add an image from Charmed Cards and Crafts and this image is called Angel.  Now I cheated here a bit as I was short on time. When you buy images from Charmed Cards and Crafts you get the same images already coloured and I used one of these for this project.

So there you have it - anything but a card - now are there any challenges out there that this will fit??

In the Pink with Tilda

What a lovely couple of days we have had weather wise - I'm sure it won't last!  How do I know - well because my OH and me are going away for a few days on Monday so it's bound to rain, rain, rain.  Hey ho - such is life!
Just thought I would show you this little card I made using a Tilda with flowers image that my bestest ever crafting buddy Ali aka Dragonlady sent me some time ago.  I thought it was about time I used it so here she is:

I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and promarkers and then cut it out and placed it on to a die cut circle which I backed onto a pink die cut scalloped circle (both from my good friend Susie at Die Cut Dreams).  I added liquid pearls around the edge of the scalloped circle in pink and cream. 

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and I have shown this below:

I used green DP for the background and two different pink DP and layered the pink DP onto green card.  I added ribbon to the two squares and ribbon and a bow to the rectangle.  I also added a pink bow with a small pink flower (which I won in a candy recently) and secured it all with two pink nob pins.  I then stuck it to the card with silicone glue.

I'm quite pleased with how this turned out and I have decided I definitely need to get me some Tilda stamps!
