Poodles Parlour - GDT

Hi peeps,
You remember the Feline Thankful Blog Party???  Well I won a guest DT spot at The Poodles Parlour!!  Cool eh?
So their theme this week is:
LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS!
Now, I'm not a huge fan of male cards but needs must and I suppose it is only fair that they get a quick look in now and then eh?? LOL
So here is the card I made for their challenge:
The main image is from Karen's Doodles who just happen to be the sponsor for this challenge.
The little image on the bottom part of the easel is one of Jacqui's own images, cute ain't it??
The images are coloured with my Prismacolour pencils and the DP is from my stash.

The sentiments are computer generated - as soon as I saw the images Jacqui sent me I knew exactly what I was going to do.  Hope you like it.

I hope you get chance to pop over and join in with the challenge at the Poodles Parlour this fortnight and thank you Jacqui for letting me Guest Design for you on this challenge.
The challenge runs from today 26th October until 9th November

Eyes Down, Look In!! - Crafty Ribbons DT Card

Hi all,
Well, Thursday rolls around once more and that means a new challenge over at Crafty Ribbons.  Thanks for all your fabulous entries into our Ribbon and Lace challenge, boy did I have a hard time choosing just three from that lot!! LOL  Anyway, pop over to the challenge blog and have a look who I chose as my top 3 and who Mr Random Org picked as his winner!
So onto our new challenge:
BINGO!
I am sure most of you will know the drill with this one but just in case you don't here's how it works.
Look at the grid below and choose a line, vertical, horizontal or diagonal and make sure you include those elements on your project.  You could of course go the whole hog and use everything but you don't have to!
Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is:
and this is the gorgeous prize:
So onto my card then.
I did actually choose to use everything!
Here you go:
The image is Jelly Pip from Sugar Nellie and she is coloured with Promarkers. I added some glitter to her waistcoat and used glitter brads on the die cut. She is mounted on to one of my fabulous Die Cuts from Susie's Die Cut Dreams Shop (which will be open again very very soon - look out for further details on my blog soon).  The die cut was a pale pink so I used a bright pink ink pad to change the colour.
The flower and the leaf are handmade following a tutorial at Crafty Ribbons.  Why not stop by and have a look, there are some fab tutorials there.
The pink polka dot ribbon is from ... yes you guessed it... Crafty Ribbons, one I've had for a while.
The roses are from my stash.  The punched leaves are inked and clear embossed.  The background paper is embossed and I have brushed it with pink Perfect Pearls.
The die cut ticket sentiment is from Lynne at Sentiments 4 You and I have added some little green gems to that.  The lace down the left hand side is from Linda The Funkie Junkie's Etsy shop.  The pink button is from my stash.
So there you go then, I think I got everything on the grid, but as I said you don't have to.
So please try and find the time to enter the challenge - I mean you wouldn't want to miss out on all those fabby flowers now would you.
Back later to add some challenges.
Challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
creative craft world - add a sentiment
Let's Ink It Up - Think Pink
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Anything Goes

Die Cut Dreams #101 - DT Card

Good morning my blogging friends.  Here we are at the start of another week so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams.  Thank you once again to all those who entered our last challenge.  Please remember to stop by the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog to see if you were one of our lucky winners.
So, onto the new challenge and this time the theme is:
SO CHARMING
(Use a charm/s on your creation)
So time to get your thinking hats on and get crafting.
Here is my project for this fortnight's challenge:
I used that beautiful Sugar Nellie image called Cherry Pip that I won from Elaine's blog a while ago.
I love her so much that I just had to go and buy the others in the collection so look out for those in the coming weeks.  I also decided that I would give this "no lines" technique a go too - and I gotta say I'm quite pleased with the results.  I keep seeing techniques on the Make it Crafty and Make it Colourful blogs but never get round to entering them in the challenges in time - maybe one day!!! Lol.
The image is coloured with my promarkers and I used my nestabilities to make the die cut.  The papers are Papermania Henbury Lane  (must get some more of these soon!) and that huge big sunflower was from Corry in Canada (thanks hun!)  The Centre was blue and white but I coloured over it with a dark purple promarker so it fitted with my colour scheme.
The three little charms are from my stash as are the purple and yellow flowers.  The yellow organza ribbon (which you can barely see now I look at it!!) is of course from Crafty Ribbons.  The stamp in the bottom right hand corner is from Clarity Stamp, one of Barbara's Clever Corners.

Well peeps, I can't wait to see what you all come up with over the next two weeks.  Have fun!
Challenges:
I Love Promarkers - Ain't It Cute
The Pixie Cottage - Sweet as Candy
4 Crafty Chicks - Marker it Up!
Little Miss Muffet - Girly Girl

Midway Reminder - Halloween at Totally Tilda

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
HALLOWEEN TILDA
********************
Now you know that I always show you a sneaky peek of my card the day the challenge goes live don't you?  So today is the day I can show you the whole thing!  Bet you're excited now aren't you?? LOL
Just kidding, I'm not really that big headed, honest.  So here you go then, my card for this challenge:
So, the backing paper and wordy DP down the left hand side is from a Summer Driggs collection called Happy Halloween.  My image is called Broom Tilda (don't you just love that name??), colouried with promarkers.  I placed her on one of Susie's fabby die cuts - Oh yes, I said I'd let you all know when Die Cut Dreams was up and running again didn't I?? Well, not long to wait now - the shop will re-open in early November - watch this space for more information!!
Right, back to me card.......
The "Boo" was made from three chipboard letters which were purple - I stamped them all over with black ink and then used clear embossing powder to make them shiny.  There are three coats of embossing powder and they really feel like glass - you'd never know they were chipboard. Hopefully you can see them better in the piccy below.
Now, my spiders, pumpkins, lickle cat, bats and Happy Halloween banner are from a Cuttlebug Folder called creepy crawlies.  I don't have it personally but a dear sweet friend sent me some for my card. (thanks mummy - love ya!!)
The two ticket sentiments are from the lovely Lynne at Sentiments 4 You.
The gorgeous orange batty ribbon and the three pieces of orange spider's web ribbon are - of course - from Crafty Ribbons and you can see their full range of fabulous Halloween Ribbons and buttons here.
So there you have it peeps, my Halloween Tilda card.  Hope you get time to join in the current challenge - click here for all the details.

Pink and Girly and a few challenges.

Hi all,
A quick post tonight to show you a commission card I have just finished.
The brief was, very pink, very girly, cute and glittery, first birthday and the name to be included.  Should be A4 in size!
Well, I just couldn't fit pink and girly with an image suitable for a first birthday so just went with the pink and girly theme.
I've never made a card this big before but I really enjoyed it, so here it is:
The image is from Tiddlyinks and is called Fairy Fae, isn't she beautiful?
So she is coloured with my promarkers and the card is backed onto a piece of pink card.  I used a corner punch to decorate the four corners, (although you can only actually see two of them properly!) and then added glitter in the punched out bits.
I used a combination of pink glitter and glamour dust on her wings.  I used my new Grand Calibur to add some die cuts, then added some pink and white flowers.  The two pink papers are from a Funky Fairy collection called Pink (sadly now no longer in existence)
The sentiment and name is done on the computer and backed onto the same pink card.  I added a die cut butterfly and a piece of fabby lace from The Funkie Junkie's Etsy shop.
I can tell you that the person who asked for the card was extremely happy with it and was quite close to tears!!  Success!!
Challenges:
The Cutie Pie Challenge - Bingo Board (flowers, punch out, lace)
JustYolie, JustCreate - Link up for pink party
Digistamps 4 Joy - Think Pink
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Birthday Celebrations

Challenge #4 - Crafty Ribbons DT Card

Ok folks so time once again for a new challenge at Crafty Ribbons.
Thank you so much for all your fabulous entries into our last challenge, please stop by the Challenge blog and see who our lucky winner and our top 3 were.
So this time it is my turn to host the challenge and the theme this time is:
RIBBON AND LACE
We are so lucky to be sponsored this time by Krista at
I'm not sure if any of you have seen Krista's images but they have been around in blogland for a while now and they are just so lovely.
The winner will receive two digis from the Saturated Canary Shop.
Krista has also just started her own challenge blog here
The Design Team were really lucky and got to choose an image to play with for this challenge so please take a minute to visit the rest of the DT blogs (links in the sidebar) and see what fabulous creations they have to offer.

The image I chose was Pearl, a Mermaid and you can buy her here.
So here is my card:
The image is coloured with my Prismacolour pencils and I used my Sakura Gelly Glaze pen for the water droplets on her hair.  I love how her hair has turned out!
That lush Crafty Ribbons ribbon at the top of the card is a dark sea green glittery velvet ribbon and is just so gorgeous.  It is one of a variety of velvet ribbons in a fabulous array of colours and you can see the whole selection here.
The fabulous lace is from The Funkie Junkie's etsy store.  Again if you haven't visited Linda's shop you really should use this link and pay a visit.  If you like the vintage/shabby chic look you will love Linda's store.
The sentiment is from Lynne at Sentiments 4 You.
