OMG! OMG! OMG! - Sooooo excited.

Hello everyone,
Well, as my blog post title may suggest, I am just a tad excited!!
I entered a card into the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook challenge in June and it only went and won the Artist's Choice Aware didn't it?? So delighted with that.
Well, ok so that's good but why is she so excited about that I hear you ask!!
Weeeellll, not only that, but a few days later I was contacted by the lovely Kym Upshaw who leads the Design Team to ask me if I wanted to be part of the Facebook DT!!!!!
Well, obviously I had to think about it.................
for like a NANO SECOND!!
I cannot begin to tell you how chuffed and overwhelmed I was to be asked.  Let me tell you there is some awesome talent on that team and now I am a part of it too! Whoop Whoop!!
Look, I even have my own blog badge with one of my coloured images - how cool is that?

Okay okay, so you get that I am excited, sorry I will get on with the job in hand.
This is my first creation for the Facebook design team and I hope to be with them for as long as they will have me.
The theme for the Facebook challenge, and that of the blog challenge too actually, for the month of August is
FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS.
So, your entry must feature a four legged animal on it somewhere please.
You can enter it at both places if you want to as well.
So the image I chose to use for this first Inspiration post is:
As soon as I saw this image I just knew it was the one I wanted to use.
image 0
The image is coloured with my Polychromo pencils.
I really love using my pencils but boy does it take a looong time to finish an image. Lol

The little cat at the front is modelled on my own cat Smudge and I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.

I did take a little bit of inspiration from the artwork on the Etsy page where the image is partly coloured and then just went with the flow. (click on the Title of the image above and you will see what I mean).
There was a time when each of those animals would have been coloured with just one colour but having used the colouring classes at Kit and Clowder I am now happy to say my animals actually look like animals. Hahahaha

The backing papers are from Claritystamp and Lili of the Valley and the little stamp is a Claritystamp too.  The flowers are from my stash.

Hope you like my first Ching Chou Kuik DT card and that it might just have inspired you to have a go and enter the challenges.

Digi Choosday - Anything Goes

Hi all
Well, the weeks are whizzing by arent' they?
Before you know it ................ the Summer will be over!!
Ha ha - got you there didn't I? Lol
You thought I was going to mention the C word didn't you?
Oh no, no siree, not me!! (Well not just yet anyway)
So, time for a new challenge over at Digi Choosday.
Remember all our challenges are always
ANYTHING GOES
So the world, as they say, is your oyster!!
Now the DT were given the task of making something for someone starting a new job!
I instantly knew what I was going to do for that.
Out with my trusty Cameo to cut out the base and here it is:

A lovely new post it note holder for a new desk.
Well, I don't know about you but I am a note taker when it comes to something new.
Ok, it might not look pretty but my computer is covered in post it notes with little snippets of information that will make life easier.
But who wants a boring post it note pad?  Why not make it look pretty too?
So that's what I did.

The papers used on the main piece are printed from a download called Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 1 and I just loved the soft colours.

Then I printed out some lovely flowers from the Horace & Boo Foliage collection.
I painstakingly cut out three of them and made three gorgeous flowers which I secured with a glittery green brad and then added them to the Post It Note holder.  I also added a leaf from the same downloadable foliage collection.  I can see me using these quite a lot!!

I added a bit of contrasting twine and two little banner pieces to which I added a couple of little pearl bows.
Just add a pad of post it notes, pens and pencils etc and there you have it.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Don't forget there is always a discount coupon on the day the new challenge starts which will save you a huge 25% on selected digi images.

Digi Choosday - A Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone
Time once again for another fabulous challenge over at Digi Choosday.
Remember, very Tuesday when we launch a new challenge, you also get the opportunity to use a fabulous discount code on selected downloadable products. How cool is that?

So on to our new challenge.
As usual our challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES
So, the world, as they say, is your oyster!

For my project this week I have made an envelope card.

I have used Ruby Gift which I have coloured with my Polychromo pencils.

I made the envelope card on my Silhouette Cameo.  It saves so much time with the cutting out.
I printed off one of the fabulous Distress Ink Papers (plain) to add to the card.
I love these papers because they are made to match up with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  Obviously the colours will vary depending on your printer but in essence, they won't be too far out and I love them.
I printed out a sentiment from the Winnie Celebrations Sentiment pack 1 on to the same Distress Ink Paper and added it to the inside of the card.

I then printed one of the other sentiments from the same pack to add to the main picture on the card.
I think I may have to get the other two Sentiment packs because there are sooooo many fabulous sentiments in them which probably cover virtually every occasion - even the ones we don't really want to think about.

I added a couple of small embellishments to the front of the envelope card too, I have had these in my stash for ages - I mean, don't we all?  Lol
I used some Pan Pastel to add some interest so that it didn't look too stark.

So I added some funky ribbon as a fastener for the card - neat eh?
It will actually stand up but it is a bit wobbly, lol.
I will add a Gift Token or £20 note to the inside as I really don't know what to buy the recipient for their birthday.
To be honest, as a kid, I always wanted money so I could buy what I wanted but it never seemed to work out that way! Lol.

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge - Week 26

Hi all
Here I am again with my project for Team Ds week to host.
This week our sponsor is the wonderful,

Now we were given two images to choose from this week and once I saw them I knew I was going to use them both.
So I have used:
together with:

I printed out a background image and added the two digital images to the background.
The tulip border image is replicated three times to fill the bottom border of the picture.
I also reduced it in size so that the dancer looked like she was dancing through the tulips.

Then I added the sentiment, again done in Craft Artist,  which I think sums it up perfectly.

Once again all the colouring is done with my Polychromo Pencils.

I backed the image on to a Distress Oxide background that I made myself. (Get me eh!! Lol).

I will add a fitting sentiment to the inside once I know when I am going to use it.

So, there you have my little bit of inspiration for this week.
Don't be afraid to merge images this way as it can produce some fabulous results.

Remember please that we must see some hand colouring on your creation.  We do not accept digitally coloured images I'm afraid.

Have fun peeps.

New DT Position - Digi Choosday - Whoop Whoop!!

Hi all,
Oh my goodness, I am so happy I can't begin to tell you.
Recently I saw that the lovely Nikky Hall from Polkadoodles was having a DT call and I thought "what have I got to lose?" - so I applied.
Well, I only got accepted didn't I?
I am so happy right now and have been dying to tell you all.
So this is my first post for Digi Choosday - the fabulous challenge blog run by Polkadoodles which I had been entering quite a bit recently.
Best of all, every Tuesday there is a fabulous deal on selected digital goodies from the Polkadoodles store.

So here we go then.
The theme as always is:
ANYTHING GOES

For my project I decided to make a gift box (containing a little gift) to give to my friend who has a new kitten. (Now I know the kitten shouldn't have the treats I have added so I shall replace them with treats a kitten can have. 😀)

I used the beautiful Boo to make a gift tag.
The gift tag is attached to a small gift box to which I added some Cat Treats.

On the gift tag there is a lovely sentiment which I thought was perfect for this gift.
You can find the sentiment as part of a set.

So I printed out the sentiment, the Boo image and added "A New Kitty" on the computer.

The image is coloured with my Polychromo pencils.

The little gift box is made from a "Cracker Card" which I have had in my stash for simply ages and never got around to using.
Before I glued the box together I covered the cracker card with one of the fabulous printable papers that Polkadoodles do.

I used "Distressed Wood" - I went with the multicoloured sheet because I thought it added a bit more interest.
I cut off the border at the bottom and folded the sides in to make a solid box.
Added the tag to the front of the box and closed the "lid" with twine.

I am really pleased with how this turned out and I hope you like it too.
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you can find the time to join us at Digi Choosday.
Remember to visit the Digi Choosday blog and take advantage of the fabulous Discount on selected downloadable products from the Polkadoodles store.

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge - Week 22

Hi all
Well, just for a change I am here to share my project as part of Team D, my actual team. Lol.
So, our Sponsor this week is the fabulous,
I have been a fan of Bugaboo images for simply ages.
In fact, I won one of their Grand Prizes in a big competition/giveaway way back when and was lucky enough to be able to add 50 images to my Bugaboo Library.  I have simply loads now. 😍😍

Anyway, one of the images that the Sponsor has provided is one I already have.  I love the Stella and Gus images don't you?  The sentiments that go with them are just fabulous.
If you have never come across Bugaboo before then you really should pop on over to their store and have a good look around.  I just know you will find something to suit.
So, here is the card I made for this week's challenge.
I used
I wanted the image to be the central focus and then use the sentiment split into three.

I did the background for this one using my Craft Artist software and then coloured the image with my trusty FC Polychromo Pencils.

I think the combination of a printed background and hand coloured digital image works really well.  What do you think folks?

I am looking forward to seeing all your fabulous entries this week but remember, as the name of the challenge suggests, we are a colouring challenge and we must see some hand colouring on your project.  We do not accept digitally coloured images I'm afraid.

Have fun.

Everyone's favourite - Anything Goes!

Hello lovely peeps!
How are you all?  Enjoying the Summer?
So Aurora Wings may have closed their challenge blog but ..... whoop whoop they are doing challenges on Facebook now!
The theme will always be:
Anything Goes
Unless there is a special occasion that warrants a different theme.
So, I thought I would enter this card.
I just adore the Sprite images that Mitzi produces, I may have mentioned that before, Lol.
This one is no exception and is just so adorable and crying out to be a really girly card.
So I have used the gorgeous
SUGAR PLUM SPRITE
If you want to nip off and purchase her, and let's face it, why wouldn't you? lol, here are all the buying details you will need.
So, without further ado, let me show you what I did:
How could I not colour her up in shades of pink and purple eh?
She is such an adorable little image don't you think?
Once again she is coloured with my Polychromo Pencils.
I know it takes a little bit more time to colour with pencils than markers but I do love the effects.

The backing paper is from a Lili of the Valley with NitWits collection called Pastel Dreams and it was just the perfect background for this image.

The flowers and other embellishments are all from my stash and I had even forgotten that I had those feathers but the colour was just perfect. (It is actually shocking pink not red as it looks in the photo, LOL).

The Happy Birthday ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.  This colour is Garden Rose but they have so many colours you would be spoilt for choice.
A lovely friendly company that is well worth a visit.  Their ribbon range and ribbon embroidery is fabulous.  You will be like a kid in a sweetshop if you go, so remember your pennies. Hehehe.

So there you go then, my little Sugar Plum Sprite in all her pink glory.

I shall enter her into the following challenges:
