Green Seahorses.

Hi all
Well as some of you will know I have recently started attending the fabulous workshops that the lovely Maria Simms runs in Shrewsbury.  I have a great time and have met some lovely ladies.
If you ever fancy joining in with these workshops in Shrewsbury just pop over to Maria's blog where you will find her email address - then just drop her a line - you will have a brilliant time.
Indeed if you would like to join one of the other Clarity Workshops just pop over to the Clarity Website or the Clarity Stamp Challenge blog where you will find more details.
*****
So I have made a card to enter into this month's challenge over at Clarity Stamp Challenge which is Monochrome.
So here is my very green monochrome card.
I made a background on the card blank using the seaweed stencil using Lettuce adirondack.
Then for the first layer I used my Gelli Plate and two different stencils, the Dotty Wave background and the seaweed stencil.
Next I stamped my two seahorses on to white card and again used the seaweed stencil. I trimmed my card to the size I wanted which left me with two little pieces of seaweed/dotty wave background so I added those behind the image.

I coloured the two seashorses with my Distress Ink Markers and then made two flowers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die.
As a final couple of touches I added two pieces of the fabulous Keep Calm and Carry On ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and a gorgeous green pearl pin from my lovely friend Mandy at A Sprinkling Of Glitter.

I am really pleased with how this has turned out and I hope you like it too.
Please let me know what you think as all comments are gratefully received.

COME AND JOIN OUR BUNNY HOP!!

Well folks it is our final day of our Special Easter Event and today we thought we would finish with a Bunny Hop.
Todays sponsor is our very own fabulous
the prize is a voucher to spend on their website.
So here is my inspiration for today.
For my card today I have used just ribbons (oh and the little charm)
These ribbons are from the Pirate Ribbons collection. The black one is skulls and the Blue one is Aye Aye Captain.
I went for a variation on Iris folding for this card.
The ribbons are not folded just used in the same way that the iris papers would be used.
I used a little bit of red ribbon for the flag on the top of the boat.
I think this is a perfect birthday card for a little boy.
I decided not to add a sentiment so that it can be used for any occasion.

Today's showcase of ribbons also includes a Bunny Hop, so if you have just popped by to say hello and would like to join in with the hop you will need to start at the very beginning which is on the
Hop around the DT blogs in the order they are listed and leave them a comment. While you are hopping around please watch out for the lovely little bunny/bunnies which is hiding away and make a note of whose blog they are on so that when you return  to the inspiration blog you can Link up with your name and which blog you saw the Bunny or Bunnies.....GOOD LUCK,

Special Easter Event - Day 2

Hello again lovely peeps.
Well did you get into the garden yesterday?
Didn't it turn out to be a beautiful day?
I spent two hours getting all my ironing done whilst enjoying the sunshine, a much more user friendly way of doing the ironing I think! Lol
Anyway, I digress.
Today is Day 2 of our Special Easter Event at Crafty Ribbons.
Today our sponsor is the fabulous
BUGABOO
prize...7 images of winners choice
I love Bugaboo images - there always seems to be an image that's just right for whatever occasion you are making for don't you think?
Right then, so here is my little bit of inspiration for you today.
I have chosen to use one of the gorgeous Sun Bonnet range 'cos I love 'em.
The image is coloured with my Polychromo pencils and the gorgeous background paper is from one of the gorgeous Raspberry Road at Lili of the Valley pads called Timeless Victorian.
If you don't already have any you should go take a look as the quality of these papers is, I think, second to none and what's more their delivery is first class too.
The beautiful lilac ribbon is one of the Seam Binding range at Crafty Ribbons, so versatile and in so many gorgeous colours too.
Finally that gorgeous butterfly is one of several I purchased recently from a lovely lady called Kay on Etsy, they are truly beautiful and I will definitely be buying some more in the future.
So there you go then.
Make sure to stop by the Crafty Ribbons Inspiration blog and add your name to the Linky there to be in with a chance of winning that prize of 7 fabulous Bugaboo images.
See you all tomorrow.

So here is my creation for this challenge:
I used Flight Attendant Tilda for this card but today she is a stewardess on a train.
She is standing on the platform by the Station Fence!! Lol
Coloured with my Polychromos and Pan Pastels for a chalked edging.
I am pretty sure the fence is a Magnolia stamp too but I can't find it anywhere.
The gorgeous bow is made from some beautiful satin ribbon from Crafty Ribbons which comes in some gorgeous colours.
So there you go folks, my Over the Garden Fence card.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Flower Power at Crafty Ribbons

Hello lovelies,
Well it is the turn of the Buttons Team to host the challenge this week.
And this week the theme is
FLOWER POWER
and has been chosen by me! :-)
So long as your creation fulfils the challenge you can make whatever you like, cards, layouts, altered items, take your pick and have fun.
So here is my offering for this week:
The flowers on this card were stamped using a hand made stamp.
I discovered this new to me idea at one of Maria Simms' Clarity workshops.
Too detailed to go into the ins and outs of how we made it but suffice to say the actual flower is a Clarity Stamp and the colours are chosen by me.
Here is a close up of the stamped flower.
The sentiment is also a Clarity Stamp.
and the gorgeous yellow ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and you can find that here
I am looking forward to seeing your lovely creations.

CAS card at Totally Tilda

Hello all
Just popping by to let you know that you still have about a week to join in with the current challenge over at Totally Tilda.
The theme this time is:
CLEAN AND SIMPLE
And we are sponsored by:
Prize will either be:
a Ribbon Kit
or
a £10 voucher for the store.
So here is my Midway reminder for you:
I used Sneaky Tilda for this card and coloured her with my Polychromo Pencils.
I love the softness of the muted colours on here and am really pleased with how they came out.
I added a small sentiment from a Friends Sentiment stamp set from KaiserCraft.
Then I used my black Micron pen and went around the edge of the card.
I used little scallops one way and then filled in the gaps with a scallop the other way (if you understand what I mean??)
So there you go. A little midway reminder for the current challenge at Totally Tilda.
I do hope you get time to join in with us!
