Jacque's Exciting Candy

Hi bloggy friends
No card from me today just a head's up on some awesome candy.
Sometimes when you see something you just know that it's special right??  Well that's how I felt the first time I came across Jacque's blog. Jacque hasn't had an easy time of it over the last couple of years, as many of you probably already know.  She has been fighting breast cancer and through her blog we have been through some trials and tribulations with her, through the ups and downs of her treatment and her feelings.
Throughout all her treatment Jacque has continued to blog and create some stunning cards for us all to drool over.  I have always loved the way she does the inside of her cards to match the fronts -something I never seem to get time to do!

Hardly surprising then that she has reached a fabulous 4,000 followers on her blog!  Congratulations Jacque.
To celebrate this huge following Jacque is having one huge fabulous awesome candy from now until 14th March.  Trust me you don't want to miss out on this one.
There are prizes from LOTV, Flowersoft, Whimsy Designs, Magnolia-licious to name but a few.
So peeps, what are you waiting for - hop on over to Jacque's blog, become a follower if you're not already and then post the pic above on your sidebar, add your link to Mr Froggy and keep your fingers crossed!!
Good luck everyone.

More than 1 fold at the Christmas card club

Hi all,
Well time once again for another card to add to my Christmas Card total.  Am I glad I joined this lovely band of ladies - I so wouldn't have made the Christmas cards I have if I hadn't have joined up.
So this time it was Lizzie's turn to host the challenge and she chose:
MORE THAN ONE FOLD
So here is the card I made for this challenge:
Now I know what you are thinking!!  This looks like an ordinary A4 card....... and you'd be right it does LOOK like an A4 card but wait..........
Tada!!!
I have used papers and images from the Quick Makes for Christmas CD from Ooh La La and you can find that and many others here.
The little snowflakes are hand punched and then stuck together with some sparkly thread through the middle.
Now that I've seen the pics on here I have realised that I was going to add a couple of gems to the tags on the front (which I've done) and that I should have put something in the background behind the snowflakes!! DOH!
Hey ho!
Don't forget to stop by the rest of the girls blogs and have a look at what they've created too.
If you fancy joining us in our little Christmas Card club then leave me a comment under this post and I'll get back to you with some more deets!
TTFN!!

Punched and Die Cut!

Hello bloggy friends.
I hope this Sunday finds you well and happy?
Well, as it is Sunday that means there is another new challenge over at the Totally Tilda challenge blog.
Firstly though, I would just like to say thank you for all your wonderful entries on the last challenge.
It always makes it hard to choose a winner/top 3 but that's part of the fun!
Remember too that we are choosing a Guest Designer from all the entries that added GDT after their name so don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and see if you were chosen.
Don't worry if you weren't chosen this time - we will be choosing another GDT soon - look out for the next GDT posting!
So what are we going to tempt you with this time??
Well the new challenge is:
USE A DIE CUT AND A PUNCH
(AND TILDA OF COURSE!!)

From now on I will be showing you a complete card to mark the beginning of the new challenge at Totally Tilda and then I will be making a new card for the Midway Reminder.  So, now you get two for the price of one!!  What a bargain!
So here is the card I made for the new challenge:
I had this image all stamped up for a while now so thought I'd use her for this challenge.
The image is coloured with my promarkers - actually I have used the new Limited Edition Spring Collection for most of the colouring - such lovely soft subtle shades and such gorgeous names too.
If you haven't seen them why not pop in to the Letraset site and have a look at the new colours as well as a wealth of other items you may find useful!
I have used Distress Ink (Spun Sugar) around the edge of the white card to soften the edges and the green background DP is punched with a Stampin Up edge punch.
Me lovely flowers are all from the wonderful folk at Wild Orchid - such fabulous service and wow what a choice!!!  That sweet polka dot ribbon is one of a NEW RANGE at Crafty Ribbons - you really should pop in and have a look at what they have to offer - trust me - you won't be disappointed!!!
The sentiment is one of a set of die cuts that I've had in my stash for ages.  I added Distress Ink to the background of the sentiment as it looked to stark in white.
So there you go my lovely peeps - hope you like what I've shown you.
I can't wait to see what fabulous works you all come up with for this challenge.
Have fun!

and

So here is my card for this challenge:
I have used an image from Meljen's Designs called Hoppy Pad Frog - cute ain't he???
Now I am very lucky to have a supply of shaped die cuts from my very very good friend Susie Sugar, so making shaped cards is a joy! Thank you Susie - what would I do without you???
Darling Mr Frog is coloured with my flexmarkers and promarkers and I've even used one of the new Metallic Promarkers on the doodly bits over his head!!
Sentiment is computer generated and the flowers are from a recent, OTT, extremely naughty, spending spree at Wild Orchid Crafts ..... well they have so much lovely stuff it's real easy to get carried away!!!

Photo Inspiration at Ooh La La!

Hello bloggy friends.  Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
PHOTO INSPIRATION!

You can use the photo to inspire in whichever way you want so long as we can see where the photo comes in.
The first time I looked at this photo the thing that stood out for me was the orange! So, here is the card I made for this challenge:

I have used images and DP from the Teentastique CD from the folder called Visitors, which you can buy here.
As you can see the image is pyramaged - I love this effect and it's so much quicker than Decoupage!!
The sentiment is computer generated, I have chalked the background and matted it onto the same card the image is matted onto.
Now those cute little ribbons used to be white but becuase they are satin they take promarker ink really well.
************
Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

Totally Tilda MW Reminder

Hello peeps,
Well I just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to submit your entries for our latest challenge at Totally Tilda.
Don't forget the challenge this time is:
TILDA WITH A HAT ON
********************
Here's the card I made for the midway reminder:
I have used my flexmarkers/promarkers to colour the very gorgeous Tilda and matted the image onto some Tim Holtz C'oredinations card which I have distressed slightly.

Those little dragonfly gems I have had for ages in my stash but the colour just fitted this card perfectly.
The tag is a Magnolia Doo Hickey which my good friend and Teamie Liz sent me (along with a few others) for my birthday in January (thanks sweetie), which I have inked with distress inks. Can you spot the piece of lace running down the length of that piece of DP???
The gorgeous flowers were from my blogging mummy Christine (again, thanks hun).
Those little flowers hide a bit of a boo boo with my PATP (really need more practice!!), the leaves I made with a couple of punches.
Now, I bet you can't guess where I had that gorgeous orange satin ribbon from can you????
Go on.........................guess????????
?
?
?
Oh go on then, I'll tell you - well Crafty Ribbons of course!! You can see the complete range here.

Snowflakes at the club!

Hi all,
You know, it is a good job I joined this little Christmas Card Club otherwise I'd never get any Christmas cards made throughout the year!
I'm a little late posting this as it should have been up this morning - running late all round today!!
Anyhoo, I digress.  It was Sylvie's turn to choose the challenge at the Christmas Card Club this time and she chose SNOWFLAKES!
Here is the card I made:
The image is from the Greeting Farm and is called Winter Fairy.  She is coloured with my Flexmarkers and then I added glitter to both her wings and skirt.
Those little flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. They are basic white paper blooms and I have added some colour around the edges with my Arctic Blue Promarker.
The die cut is from my wonderful friend Susie Sugar - thanks darling!!
The sentiment is from a Penny Black Transparent Stamp set called Winter Wonders.
I used a pale blue Chalk ink pad to add snowflakes on my base card and on the die cut too.  If you look carefully you will see that my little brads in the middle of the flowers also have snowflakes on them!!
Lastly that gorgeous gingham ribbon is from........of course, Crafty Ribbons and you can see the whole range here.
Challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers - Monochrome Magic
Pink Gem - Fairies

Tilda and her Koala are coloured with my Flexmarkers, they really do have some beautiful colours!

The flower is handmade from papers out of the same pad as my DP which is a Papermania pad called Venetian Skies.  The two twirlies are just kiddies pipe cleaners and the lace is from my stash.
