Running late........... again!!

Hi all,
Phew, only just made this month's calendar challenge at Clarity.
I've had a rubbish March if I'm honest, and I will be glad to see the back of it.
However, I am determined to stick to my personal challenge of entering every Clarity Monthly and Calendar challenge this year so here I am.
Hopefully April and the spring weather will lift my down trodden spirits and put me back on the right level again.
So, without further ado, here is my take on the March Calendar challenge.

As you will see I didn't use the same stamps as Barbara, simply because I don't have them. Shock, horror, stamps I don't have??? What is the world coming to?  Lol

Anyhoo, I used stamps that said two lovely people have taken a walk from their little house in the hills down to the bench to watch the sheep in the fields below.
Don't you think the bit behind the couple looks like one of those rocky bits you see in the hills?

I just love this sentiment stamp, don't you?
It is so so true. Something we should all remember perhaps?

I drew in the hills like Barbara did but this time I stopped before I spoiled it.  When I went to the workshop last year I just added too many lines.  Instead of fields it looked like a very worn patchwork quilt!! hahaha
So there you go then, my calendar entry for March.

Flowers with Aurora Wings

Hello everyone.
How are we all?  Good I hope?
Well it is time once again for another challenge at Through the Purple Haze
This time our theme is:
FLOWERS
That should be a nice easy challenge for you.
Our fabulous sponsor is:
AURORA WINGS
AuroraWings Blog Badge

I have used Mask of Flowers for this challenge.
Digital Stamp Instant Download - Floral Masquerade - digistamp - Mask of Flowers - Fantasy Line Art for Cards & Crafts by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff
Isn't she adorable?
Now, I knew that this would be a challenge to colour so I started it as soon as I downloaded it.
Do you know what?  I just couldn't put it down.
Once I started I just kept on going and going and going.
Once the image was coloured I thought I may as well carry on and make the card there and then.
It must be one of the few times I have been way ahead with a DT card I can tell you. Lol
So, I'll stop waffling and show you my project:
I know there are some awesome colourers out there but I am really proud of this one.
I used my Polychromo pencils to colour the image and then once it was finished I used my Copics to deepen some of the colours in places.
I can't stop looking at this image, there are so many details aren't there?
The gorgeous wavy ribbon I used is from the lovely Brenda at Brenda's Ribbon and Lace on Facebook. It is a secret group but if you are not a member already, you really should be as she has some awesome ribbon and lace. Tell her I sent you!
The sentiment is a Clarity Stamp from one of their fabulous word chains and you can see them all here.
For the background I used two different shades of Pan Pastels chalk and a dabber to try and make it look a bit mottled. I think it worked don't you?

So there you go then, my Aurora Wings Flowers DT card.
I love it and hope you do too.
Can't wait to see your awesome entries.

Me - A Guest Designer!!

Hi there,
Wow, two posts in two days - must be nearly Spring! Lol
So this post is a little extra post as I was a Spotlight Winner for challenge #93 over at Crafting by Designs.
It was such a surprise to get the email from Doris and when she asked me if I would like to do a GDT spot - well I had to think about it for....... like a nano second!! hahaha.
Of course I would, how fabulous.
So I got to choose which challenge I designed for too, which was a bit of a treat.
I plumped for this one:
GOOD WITCH/BAD WITCH
(can include sprites and fairies)
Well, no contest I can tell you - I knew exactly which image I was going to use too.
It just had to be one of Mitzi's fabulous Sprite images from
I love Mitzi's images and have nearly all the sprites - might be a bit addicted actually. Lol
So, I chose to use Linnea Sprite for this card and here she is:
Now I know what you are thinking - Linnea flowers are pink aren't they?
Well, yes they are but I wanted this to look more like snowdrops as it was for a Springtime birthday, hence the colours.
I have used my Spectrum Noir Pencils for this one, I just love the way they blend so beautifully.
I have added some Glamour Dust glitter to her wings, not sure you can actually see it in the picture though - it is there, honest! The gorgeous little flowers are from Prima and I have had them for ages.  In fact I am surprised they still had some sticky on them!
I am learning with my colouring that sometimes less is more! So I am trying to leave some white space when colouring. I kinda like it - what do you think?
The gorgeous papers are from Raspberry Road at Lili of the Valley and this pad is called Shabby Shack.  I love these papers, such good quality - such a shame they have stopped producing them.  Not sure I shall be using them up too quickly!!

So, here is a little close up of her wings - you can see the glitter can't you?
So there you have it, my GDT card for the current challenge over at Crafting by Designs.
Thank you Doris for asking me, I have really enjoyed it.

St Patrick's Day or Use Green

Hi everyone
So it is time for another challenge over at Creatalicious.
This time the theme is:
ST PATRICK'S DAY OR USE GREEN
So our sponsor for this challenge is:
who's offering a $12 voucher to the winner

I have gone a bit different this time and used a fabulous image from Tamara at Illustrations by T (formerly the Stampin Chef)
The image I have used is called Ally O'Malley and you can find her in Tamara's Etsy store here
So here you go then:
I think she is just wonderful, what do you think?
The image is coloured with Copics for a change and I really enjoyed using them again.
I think I may invest in some more to add to what I already have.
The flowers and curly stem are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pin is one I have had in my stash for some time now but I originally purchased it from my good friend Mandy's Etsy store here.
So there you go my friends, my card for this challenge.
I do hope you will pop by and join in with us.
Can't wait to see what you make.

All about the girls!

Hi all,
Well so far this year I am on track to enter every challenge at Clarity Stamp.
This is my entry for the March challenge which is:
I needed to make a birthday card for my Godmother so out came the Groovi stuff and off I went.
I have used the Butterfly Wreath, the Netting Plate, the Nested Octagon, the Nested Circle, the Nested Square and the Alphabet off the Plate Mate
You will also see that I have done some pricking on this one!

I have coloured the images with Spectrum Noir Pencils for the butterfly, sun and grass and Distress Ink Pens for the wording and the flowers.

The netting plate was used between the circle and the octagon and then the pricking was done between the octagon and the square, in each corner.
I am quite pleased with how this came out.
I really need to mix and match these plates much more than I do.
Note to self - need to get braver! Lol
So, there you go, my entry for this month's challenge.
Right now I'm off to tackle the calendar challenge!
