Sprite Delight!

Blimey two posts within 10 minutes of each other - what on earth is going on?
Just having a craft catch up I guess - and loving it too!
So I decided to enter the Aurora Wings challenge for February, again cutting it fine here! Lol.
The challenge is for Sprites only this month.
Now I have oodles of Mitzi's Sprite images but I just couldn't resist using the cute freebie on the Challenge blog.
So here is my wee Pineapple Sprite card.
I just adore this image (mind you I say that about all the sprite images Lol), but you have to agree, it is cute isn't it?
The image is coloured with my Polychromo pencils.
I am especially pleased with how the face came out and the skin of the pineapple.
I seemed to be colouring for ages. hahaha.
I backed the image onto some lime green card and added this to my stencilled background.
This is a Clarity Stencil - there are lots to choose from here.
I added a wavy line border around the stencil - a Barbara Gray trick that I have never really mastered, but I guess this one looks ok. What do you think?

The sentiment is one I googled and then printed out on my computer.
It is from James Allen, who was a British Philosophical writer whose best known work was "A Man Thinketh"
So, there you go then my entry for the Aurora Wings challenge

Love and Clarity

Hi all
Okay, so here I am again, by the skin of my teeth with my entry for the challenge over at Clarity Stamp.
I really should get more organised.
Anyhoo, the challenge this month was:
LOVE
So, as luck would have it, last month's club stencil had hearts all over it and this month's Groovi club baby plate had Hugs and Kisses - perfect combination.
So here you go then:
First off I used the baby plate to do the Hugs and Kisses, colouring in the words with the Candied Apple distress ink pen, then I used the Octagon Stencil to add the border, also using the border plate with the zigzag on.
I used the hearts off one of the wedding border plates.
Then I cut out an octagon shape from a piece of Stencil card and secured my groovi work at the back.
I used the Heart hand stencil to add all the hearts using Candied Apple Distress Ink and then brushed the back of the work with Candied Apple too.
Mounted that onto a piece of black card and then added it to the card blank.
I am really pleased with how this turned out and I hope you like it too.

Make a Scene!

Hello lovely people.
Hope you have had a fabulous week?
So time for a new challenge over at Through The Purple Haze challenges and our theme this time is:
MAKE A SCENE!
Now obviously I don't mean run out into the street with no clothes on! That would be dangerous now wouldn't it? Lol
Seriously, we just want to see a little scene on your project this time.
Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is:
Make It Crafty

Price for winner: $10 Gift Certificate

I have to tell you that I really enjoyed making this card.
It was so much fun.
As soon as I saw the background I knew exactly what I wanted to do and what's more - it actually turned out the way I imagined it would!
So here is my project.
I have used three of the fabulous digital images from Make it Crafty in the making of this card.
The picture is coloured in both Spectrum Noir Pencils and Copics.
The background (i.e. the sea) is done using Pan Pastels and I love how it turned out.....
..... even down to the rays going through the water.
What do you think?
Hope it gives you a little inspiration to join in with our challenge this time.

So here is the card I made for our challenge:
I have used Vanity which you can find here:
The image is coloured with my Spectrum Noir Pencils and I have added some paper pieced shoes and handbags.  This card was for a work colleague which we all signed.  She wears short skirts like this and always has a scarf round her neck.  Mind you she wears dark thick tights rather than bare legs!! Lol
Here is a close up of the top of the card.....

and of the bottom too.
The papers I used are from a Lili of the Valley Pad called Promises.
The flowers are from my stash and the corner stamps are from Clarity.
So there you go. Can't wait to see what fantastic projects you submit.

Taking Flight

Hello all
Well, it is the 5th February and I have completed my Clarity Calendar Challenge for this month!!
Woohoo, get me eh??
I decided that because this one was more complex I would definitely have to start it earlier.
So here it is:

I decided my boy was flying past a waterfall - rather than the Sussex Downs like Barbara's.
I am not sure if I'm 100% happy with it but hey, you gotta practice haven't you?

Oh yes, remember last month's calendar challenge?
Well, I did a new version of it just to prove to myself that I could get better if I practiced.
Want to see it??
Ok then, here you go.

I also made a matching card!

Now I'm just showing off aren't I?
Lol.
Right, now I'm off to look at this month's main challenge project.
See you soon.
