In days gone by!

Hello bloggy friends.
Well, it is Monday again and that means it is time for another fabulous challenge at Ooh La La Creations.  Firstly, please let me say a big thank you for all the entries that we had for the last challenge.  Please stop by the Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see who our lucky winners were.  Remember, there is no Random Org here, the Design Team take it in turns to pick their favourite and two runners up - so if you won it's because we loved your creation!!

So, onto the next challenge and this time it is:
VINTAGE/NOSTALGIC
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I have used images and DP from the new Yesterday's Memories CD which you can buy here.
The only embellishments I have used on this card are the little gems along the "fold" paper and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley.

Please remember to stop by the rest of the Design Team and see their fabulous creations (links on the DT tab at the top of this page).  They have all worked really hard to offer you some inspiration, so please remember to leave them some love if you pay a visit.

Midway Reminder - Totally Tilda

Hello folks,
Just popped in to remind you that you have about a week left to enter the current challenge over at Totally Tilda.
This time the challenge is:
HEAT EMBOSSING
And don't forget we are sponsored by:
and the prize is:
So last week I showed you the first end of my desk tidy.
Well, here is the other end:
My heat embossing this time is the icing and little hearts on the top of the cake and the bow around the middle of the cake case.
I masked sweet Tilda so she could sit on top of the cake - hope her bottom doesn't get all sticky. LOL.
The cake is coloured with pencils and the cake case with my copics as is sweet Tilda.
The two flowers are made with the Tonic Die and Die pad sets and I think they are quite effective and so easy to do.
So peeps, I have glued the base to the tidy and I have started to add my bits and bobs in now.
So now I have no excuses for not keeping my desk tidy!!
I do hope you will be able to join in the fun for this challenge.
Can't wait to see your fabulous creations.

Happy Thursday morning to you lovely peeps!
Time once again for a new challenge at Crafty Ribbons.
Thanks for all your fabulous creations on our last challenge, you really are a crafty lot aren't you?
Please stop by the Crafty Ribbons Challenge blog and see if you were one of our handpicked top 3 or our Random Winner!
So, onto our new challenge.
This time the challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES WITH RIBBON
So here is my project for this challenge:
I have used a Clarity Stamp called Lily of the Valley for this card and simply stamped it in Distress Ink Peeled Paint. I have coloured just one of the leaves with a Promarker.
In the middle I have used the Clarity Stamp Best Wishes and stamped it once in first generation ink and then a second time slightly to the left in second generation ink to give it a shadow.
The gorgeous sheer organza ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
I then used my Speedball Brayer to go around the edges of the white card with the same Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

If you haven't already entered my candy why not join in here.

Vintage at CCC

Hi all,
Just popped in quickly before the F1 starts to show you my Christmas Card for the Christmas Card Club.
This week it was Lizzie's turn to choose the theme and she went for Vintage.
Not really much for Vintage but I gave it a go anyway.
So here is my card:
I have used a cream glittery card as my base - that's why it looks different shades I think.
The image is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD and is just matted onto some gold card.
I added some glitter to his coat and the holly on his hat just to give it a bit extra.
Nice and simple, quick to make and fits the theme! YAY
Right off to watch me racing now.
See you later.
Don't forget to enter my candy if you haven't already!!

Right on to the new challenge.
The theme for this fortnight's challenge is:
HEAT EMBOSSING
This time we are lucky to be sponsored by:

So here is my creation for this challenge:
I bought a desk tidy from That Craft Place's FB shop a while back and now that I have moved into me new craft room I would like to TRY and keep it tidy so decided to put this together and decorate it.
The musical notes and the word Music come with the kit so I embossed these with blue glitter from WOW.
I coloured Tilda with my Polychromo pencils and added one of the TH clock dies at the back.
I added some lovely blue ribbon to the handle and hid the glued ends by adding a little butterfly on each side of the handle.
I added some flowers from my stash and that was that.
So now all I have to do is finish the other end and then fill it up!
I'll show you the other end next week in the Midway post.
Can't wait to see how you incorporate your Heat Embossing but remember your creation must feature our lovely Tilda or it won't count!
Have fun.

Pink and Green at Crafty Ribbons.

This time the challenge is hosted by ME!!
and the theme is:
PINK AND GREEN
So here is my project for this challenge:
I have used this lovely LOTV stamp called New Hat, I love this image. Something every little girl has done at one time or another I am sure.
So the image is coloured with my Polychromo pencils and matted onto grey card.
The papers are once again those beautiful Nitwit paper pads at Lili of the Valley and this pad is the "Perfect Pair" pad. Again all papers have been matted onto grey card.
The sentiment is again from a sentiment set at Lili of the Valley.
The two butterflies are from a purchase on eBay. The gems are from my stash as is the little doily which I have inked the edges of with TH distress ink - spun sugar.
The ribbon across the middle of the card is from the range of Tafetta ribbons at Crafty Ribbons here
So there you have it then my Pink and Green creation.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with and I think I am going to have a hard job choosing a Top 3 from this challenge.

Silver, white and one other colour!

Hi all,
Time for another card challenge over at our little Christmas Card Club.
This time our lovely Sylvie has come up with the theme and she wanted to see cards using Silver, White and only one other colour.
I went with red as my other colour.
The stamps I have used are from Clarity Stamps and I decided to stamp them and emboss them in silver.
I'm a bit out of practice with my embossing so there are places where it is a bit naff but you know what they say, practice makes perfect eh??
I have matted the red card onto silver mirri card and just added it to my card base.
Sometimes I think Less is definitely more.

So here is my creation for this challenge:
I have used the top line, Faux Stitching, Glitter/Sparkle, Ribbon
Sorry about the angle of the picture, I've just moved into my new craft room and haven't quite got everything set up properly yet.
So I have used this gorgeous Tilda on the Loose from the Bon Voyage collection.
The image is coloured with my prismacolour pencils and is stamped onto a die cut from my lovely friend Susie Sugar. Thanks hun!
The backing paper is from a pad called Vintage Notes by Papermania.
The gorgeous ribbon is, of course from Crafty Ribbons
I have glittered my little butterfly using Gold Glamour Dust and added some more sparkle with the little gem branch behind the single cherry blossom flower.
So there you have it folks.
Hope you get time to join in with our challenge this time.
Thanks for stopping by.
