October Drawing at Aud Sentiments

Sorry this post is a little late folks, just got back from a week away in Sunny Wales - yes I did say Sunny as it was for about70% of the week - not bad for last week of September eh!!  Anyway, it is a new month and that means a new monthly drawing for candy and this time we are sponsored by Mad for Markers.

Aud Sentiments challenge # 11 - Cheer Up

I can't believe how quickly these fortnights are rushing by, soon it will be Christmas and just as soon it will be New Year!!
Thank you again to all those people who entered our last challenge of Best Wishes - we had some super entries once again which does make picking the winner and top 3 very hard - but enjoyable nonetheless.  So stop by the challenge blog and see if you were one of the lucky winners.

Challenge #9 at Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes!

Time once again for another fabulous challenge at Aud Sentiments.  Firstly let me thank those of you who took part in the last challenge, obviously not a great favourite as entries were down quite a bit for this one.  Never mind though, those of you who did enter stand more chance of winning - YIPPEE!!  So hurry on over to the challenge blog and see if you were one of our lucky winners/top 3.

Before I get on to the next challenge it is with a heavy heart that, following the resignation of our lovely Suzanne who is starting up her own challenge blog, I have to announce that we are also losing our Wonderful Wendy. As heartbroken as we all are we understand and wish her nothing but the best. With that being said, we are looking for 2 new design team members. If you are interested please put DT next to your entry to this challenge. The call will be open until Tuesday, August 31 and we will announce our choices on Thursday, September 2 with the new challenge. The term will run until the end of December. You will be required to make a project for each fortnightly challenge, to comment on the entries, and help in selecting the winners.

So onto our next challenge - I think we may have a few more entries on this one as it is an "Anything Goes" challenge.  Yes, that's right, you can enter whatever you want as long as there is some sort of sentiment somewhere on your project.  This fortnight we are sponsored by the fabulours 2 Cute Rubber Stamps.

The Design Team all got to choose a digi image to work with and I chose Little Firefighter Girl and here is the card I made:

I just thought she was such a cutie, I couldn't resist her.  I used some fabby 6 x 6 papers from The Paper Cellar from a pad called Celebrations.  A great mix of bright and funky papers. 

I coloured my image with my promarkers and Sakura Glitter pens and then cut her out and put her on one of my fab die cuts from Die Cut Dreams using my silicone.  I added a little stamp to her left which says "for you" (which was part of a candy win a while back).

I made a treble bow using my bow easy and hung a little sunshine charm from it which says "Made with a smile" on the back.

Challenge #8 at Aud Sentiments - "Relax"

Hello everyone,
Time once more for a new challenge over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.  Firstly can I say a huge thank you to those of you who entered our last challenge.  I hope you all liked the new linking system as this makes life so much easier for the Design Team when we are picking our winner and top 3.
Anyways our next challenge is to use the word "Relax" somewhere on your creation.  It doesn't have to be a card, it can be anything you like but it must have the word RELAX on it somewhere. 

Our sponsor this fortnight is Sassy Studio Designs and the prize they are offering is 4 digi's of your choice.

So without further ado, here is the card I made for this challenge:

This image is called Cocoa Carol and as soon as I saw her I knew I wanted her to be sat in a big brown chair because it reminded me of one at my Grandma's house when I was a kid (and yes, I CAN still remember it!!)

I have used papers from Papermania Capsule collection called Sunshine and backed this onto pale orange card.  I used a round die cut available from the fabulous Die Cut Dreams.

The sentiment is one I made using some clear acrylic letter stamps which I stamped onto a plain piece of card and then drew a border on.  I used orange and lemon chalks to soften the background and also used the chalks around the edge of the white die cut to soften the edges a little.  The flower is from my stash as are the gems.
